For some, the framerate issues are still a problem in Halo Reach for Xbox One, even after the patch. The patch didn’t do much good for me, so I pretty much gave up on the game. A couple months later, I came back to it and reinstalled it. A few days later I popped in my disc and the FPS was vastly improved. Let me know if this fixed yours.
I will try reinstalling mine tonight and see if that helps.
Though I wasn’t sure if you were hinting at that using the disc helped the framerate too. I just want to clarify that the Xbox One BC games run entirely off the hard drive and the disc is used purely for verification purposes.

Kinda off topic: Are Xbox One BC games emulations or ports? Also Its odd they need permission with certain games, because some systems allow BC with almost any game on the previous system (example: 3DS can play most DS game) Unless this a different BC way.
On topic: Haven’t played campaign or firefight on Xbox One yet, but there doesn’t seem to be very noticeable framerate drops in matchmaking. Except when there’s too many objects on screen (explosions in BTB). I’m using a Disc too so maybe disc is an improvement?
Slow framerate or no, I’d be happy if I could just get it to work on XB1 at all. Every time I try to install and play it, it runs fine for one play session, then starting next play session I get that error where it freezes during startup and at that point nothing fixes it but uninstalling and reinstalling, which is a pain to do every time especially if you’re in the middle of a Legendary run or something like that. So, I just gave up and went back to playing it on my 360, which I’d really like to get rid of and am keeping basically for no other reason than so I can keep playing Reach.

Not sure if having a disc copy helps or not, but I’d assume that it doesn’t.
Reinstalling the game also seemed to solve problems with the game crashing, freezing, and audio issues.
Still the same old horrible laggy pile of - yoink-. Guess this is what Reach would look like on a PC…

All BC games run under and emulator on the Xbox One

Microsoft has dropped the ball yet again. 0 for 3 on all Xbox One Halo releases. Such a sad incompetent group of programmers. So sad. How embarrassing!
My Halo Reach was downloaded, I don’t have a disk
I deleted and re-installed REACH on XB1 because it got stuck on downloading the data after I played some games on a 360 console.
After I did that all the games have been much less choppy on the XB1.
I hadn’t really connected the two events until I read your post.
I think you are right! Kudos for spotting this.
I had to re-install as well. But everything is working fine now.
Okay so I’m playing halo reach at the moment and I can’t see my characters amor or stats, I’m on Xbox one by the way. And everyone’s tank is private. And I’m not getting any credits and challenges are available. I’m not sure if it’s my wifi but in the network it’s green in the middle but the other two it’s grey and says indetectable. Can anyone let me know what’s wrong. And a few months ago I was playing halo reach for the Xbox one and it was fine. Please help I wanna punk on some noobs with some badass armor
