Warzone Firefight held my interest for about 5 minutes, until I realized that 343i still hasnt figured out how to make a Halo game again. Unfortunately this means that the game will be dead by next month. The almost 30 second respawn time in firefight is absolutely pathetic when the objectives have like a 2:50 countdown timer on them. Meaning that if you die twice during a wave you, almost certainly miss the objective. Then the weapons disappear after about 20 seconds in firefight(havent we been over this before?) and dont get me started on killing 3 wardens in 2 minutes when no one wants to waste a scorpion req. Im still convinced that the controls are permanently never going to be fixed, considering that the aiming in Halo 5 continues to get worse everytime they “fix” it. Halo 5 is the only FPS game I have played in the last decade where they completely destroyed the aiming. Its really sad because they paid Gamespot and IGN some good money to resurrect the game’s name from the graves of the forgotten Xbox One games. Even cutting the price in half isnt drawing in new players because even generic gamers know they messed up big time. Hell, even Kotaku was saying how you can beat the game’s campaign in “literally one sitting” with the free trial period. Such a disappointment. All we needed were these features when the game came out and then they could have improved on them. But now that we are at the end of the “Content cycle”, Halo 5 will forever be known as the little Halo that tried. I expect more from you next time around.
