How people that downloaded the Map pack trial are complaining about how it will be stripped from them because they did not pay for them.
If map pass owners had to pay for them early then you have to pay as well when they actually come out for everyone don’t complain seriously.
It wasn’t a trial. It was a glitch that allowed us to purchase the map pack for free. It’s just a bad cover up they come out with 2 days later to make up for their mistake. Get your facts straight kid.

You have proof it was a glitch? and if it was it would be MS’s fault not 343, 343 Doesn’t control the Marketplace.

in all the years ive been with xbox live i have never ever seen a so called “glitch” like this. its all marketing to get people to stop moaning about the crappy gameplay and start talking about the new maps which im sure are craptacular.

I said it in a different thread, and I’ll say it here again: 343 Industries is Microsoft. They’re wholly owned by Microsoft. Employed by Microsoft. Paid by Microsoft. In the Bungie Towers, a building owned by Microsoft. They’re less than 15 minutes from the main campus. So what makes you think there should be any distinction between the two? It’s like saying it wasn’t my fault my left hand punched you.

You can see on the xbox twitter feed some guy telling them it’s on there for free and them thanking him for letting them know.

Look, I bought the LE and got the season pass, yet I still think what 343i is doing to the downloaders is wrong and here is why.
They “purchased” those maps, it showed up as 0 MSP and people bought it. They agreed to it and they should own it.
Microsoft and 343i now want to lie and go behind on their word/agreement made with the buyers and try and charge them for the maps or remove content THEY BOUGHT and MADE AN AGREEMENT with.
It is absurd.

Many items have been accidentally released for free on xbox live, some items that were pre-order items and limited editions items were also accidentally released for ‘free’
All I know is that there was a little gold star on the menu and the Crimson Map Pack said zero ms points to download. It didn’t say trial or demo. Truthfully though the game is crap when compared to the forums. Come the eighteenth I’m still getting my entertainment fulfilled even if they do yank the maps. The backtracking the sudden lies and censorship, the drama of it all. Waypoint forums the best little hidden playlist ever.

Xbox live support technically only said that if you can get it then grab it and you will not be banned. They never said it would last forever.
What was the reason behind certain people not being able to download the free trial?
Did it have anything to do with you had to be fall under the requirements for a spec code.
Was it miscommunication between the two companies and or higher up, was it a cover up? If it was a cover up, prove them wrong they clearly state that you had to buy and play the game between 6-20 November to even download it. That’s easy to disprove if it is false.
The fact of the matter is the community on the forum have just show that when it comes to real world problems they overreact, exaggerate, are never happy, and just plain rage over everything instead of being civil.

It wasn’t a trial though, -Yoink!- messed up after people legally purchased the map packs for free and made a lie so they can steal their content back.
