I had a match last night that made me realize how good this game could be with Dedicated Servers. 9 out of 10 games are laggy and unplayable. Anymore, I just quit any match that seems unfair. You know, those games where you get lit up with just a couple of BR shots, while it takes 6 to 8 shots to kill them. Grenade throws that don’t happen until a full second after you hit the button. Unacceptable! The only reason I knew I was host is because I was unstoppable. It felt amazing! 4 shot BRs and accurate rockets and snipes. This game is so much fun when your shots register. It is also the most frustrating experience I have ever had in any game. When you only get 1 game out of 10 that is playable. Bring on the Dedicated Servers already!
We’ll never get them. 343i and Microsoft are heartless, deceitful companies and couldn’t give less of a -Yoink- about the dedis they promised us.
It’s too frustrating for me to enjoy atm honestly. I prolly won’t play much more untill they fix the servers. Hope it’s soon, my xbox is worthless to me without halo.

WRONG. Unless you’re lucky as -Yoink- and end up being host in every game, you Internet speeds don’t matter
I have fiber but the xbone bottlenecks it. I get 900+ upl/dl. Xbone chokes it down to like 400-500 up and 200-300 down though.

I have 160mb and 12mb upload… Still constantly playing laggy unbearable games. I will wait for H5 rather play fair games tbh

100mb dowload, 20mb upload

It’s not my internet. It’s called P2P sucks. We need Dedicated Servers. I have no problems in Battlefield 4 or any game that has DS.

I note how your post came 20 minutes after the latest patch notes which say the following:
“Note: We’ve seen many inquiries about dedicated server support for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Dedicated servers have been up and running since launch, and we continue to optimize and improve connectivity. The vast majority of games are being played on dedicated servers, but in the event that players cannot connect to a dedicated server, the lobby will stay together and the match will still occur on a peer-to-peer connection. Please be aware that you may connect to the dedicated server quickly enough that you won’t see the ‘connecting to dedicated server’ dialog. The absence of that dialog doesn’t mean that you’re not playing on a dedicated server.”
I want to know if it offloads to me in the absence of a quick server.
