To those video documentary. With Chaos everywhere, vehicles exploding, map movement even with long ranged weapons, I actually thought this was cool. It’s a big change of environment especially since I’m so used to Warthogs not being used and everybody just staying back all the time. Anybody else been having these kind of matches lately.
Not since Reach.
Yes, I have : )
Link please? I want to see.
I wish I could link it, but lately everything has been blowing up lately.
Have not since Halo 3 Avalanche/Sandtrap.
There is rarely a moment when I am not in a warthog.
The game’s bad skill matches have made this impossible for me. Since launch and especially since the massive population drop ending in April, matches have tended to try to group players of good and bad skill on the same team and on both teams, so the game comes down to the better players trying to win faster than their teammates can lose. The winning team is normally the one with the better bad players.
I wish there were more old school type battles. People throwin kd to the wind. Just having a good time, blowing up each other, getting blown up. I played a game of BTB heavies on reach the other day and that junk was fun. I guess the player has changed to much to ever go back.
I also wish the map packs would show up more. It’s like no one bought Castle or even the Crimson Map Pack.

This is why you never ever find matches like this in Halo 4 and to some extent Reach. With the progression system in Halo 4 there is a greater weighting on individual performance. Team work always takes a back seat, even more so considering that there is almost no discernible penalty or loss for losing the game.
No incentive to win means no incentive to work together.
I think really think the solution to this is to have K/D only track in Slayer gametypes because that is where it is important and where K/D best reflects someone’s skill.
K/D tracking should be absent from objective gametypes to put a greater emphasis on W/L. That way CTF will play like CTF and not Team Slayer. The flag has become a -Yoink!- secondary objective in its own gametype.
yeah I seriously don’t like objectives in Halo 4. Almost no incentive to do it. I miss Invasion and Assault, at least the bomb killed people.
