Bear with me if you read this I’m just venting. Why is this game not fun? I play it and get off of it for two months everytime none of these maps seem that distinct there are no variety of playlists and the ones that are available are jokes like breakout and swat when there’s no classic ones like snipers the game isn’t complete without content searching the ranks mean nothing at all forge mode came out too late but there’s no point since no one will download your stuff you can melee once by charging like its destiny why do I miss even the bungie website so much I’m pissed off I feel like people were more active on there for everything when you’re winning gun battles people jetpack strafe or whatever this game frustrates me so much it’s not even because I’m average because I never play it it’s because how it plays and feels sorry for no punctuation and I literally can’t explain this game as a halo veteran
We all feel you buddy. (Not like that, let’s not get too excited). A halo game worthy of the title should have launched with all the playlist content, and it was a mistake and continues to be a mistake that so many modes are non existent. I think even the map situation people would more readily forgive if we could play all of the modes we want on the maps we’ve been given. I don’t know whether it’s 343 or Microsoft pulling the strings on what launches with the game, but whoever it is should be fired as they’ve clearly forgotten how this industry should work. Take a breath, hope you feel better for the rant, and try to play for the things they have got right

I’ll give it a try this weekend, already got on Battlefield 4. BTB is the only thing I enjoy on there atm. However, I don’t even feel the urge to forge and this is coming from a content creator that has amassed 300k downloads from halo 3 and reach. I’ve been playing since 4th grade, as a 22 year old it just doesn’t feel like a halo game compared to halo CE-4
Fix the lag, fix how you match players, fix the spawns. I can deal with the rest.

I might just try more and more different playlists to see which ones are fun and more competitive. A lot of people tell me about the game having lag problems but I haven’t experienced it. However I only have over a day played so

Spawns are fine. You just dont know where they are and how they work.

As a experienced forger I’d say they aren’t as good as the previous Halos especially on a certain map that I’ve played on but forgot the name of. It just force spawns you in corners which can easily be altered by the simple communication with teammates. Very easy to spawn trap however I wouldn’t say as easy as Halo 3, but that game it’s a lot harder to kill others imo. The maps have a few unnessesary power weapons or just poorly placed overall for its size like the one I’m talking about.

I found the map in forge. Name of it is Pegasus. Map really sucks imo. Has no need for sniper and rockets. Also, can I change the controls in forge? Why would they make it so complicated as if they fixed something that was never broken?

Right there is the main reason why I don’t like forging on Halo 5.

Reach forge welcomed precision and accuracy in the simplest of ways. Controls made sense. In this one you move too slow or too fast and overall it is too complex. I hate being a whiny baby but I thought forge would be at least better after I stopped playing in November
In fairness, Forge is one of the very clear improvements in this game. In fact, it’s probably the best feature of Halo 5. It’s less accessible because that is the inevitable trade off for making a more robust map-creation tool. In the long term, it means dedicated forgers can do incredible things with it. I really don’t think it’s a bad thing that randoms can’t just pick it up and intuitively figure out how to make a crappy map in 10 minutes. Nothing of value is lost.
