I feel sorry for MLG players...

The pro’s will have to find a new job. Semi-pro’s and hardcore players probably won’t have a decent playlist to go to.

I hear StarCraft II and CoD are “hiring.”

So far this is poisoning the waters before you even test them.

If a CoD and GoW can be on the circuit considering how non-Halo they are, and games like SSB can be on the circuit considering how non-balanced the game is, then there’s nothing preventing Halo from being on the circuit but the players themselves.

If all you can do is think negatively about the additions that can be removed in the first place, then what calibre of imagination do you really have?

You should see them raging on twitter lol. Even Gandhi.

Even Sundance posted his disapproval.

Yes and apparently it’s via scanned photos and not via their own copies of GI.

They don’t have the game, they don’t know how the weapons interact, they don’t know how adjustable the settings are for their needs, they don’t know about the more intense-competitive-settings playlists… They really don’t know jack.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Don’t pretend the game will be favorable to them.

I don’t get this.

I mean, I’m baffled by you guys.

Hasn’t Halo always had extreme amounts of custom game options?

What makes you ‘hardcore’ players think you folks and MLG will be forced to play default Halo 4?

With Reach you could ALMOST tailor the game exactly how you wanted it, except bloom. 343i fixed that.

You can be sure even more options will be ready.

MLG will be just fine.

> The pro’s will have to find a new job. Semi-pro’s and hardcore players probably won’t have a decent playlist to go to.

lol.

“HAHAHA NOW DOEZ MLG KIDZ WONT HAV DER PLAYZLIZTS LOL!!!”

Your arrogance is astounding. Every group that is part of Halo is equally important. Don’t place yourself on some kind of pedestal.

I’m begining to wonder how customs will even work with a progression system.

It is not about how wepons interact, it is more about how wepons will fall out the sky in drop pods randomly about the map. It completely ruins the competitive side as you no longer need to set up and control certain areas of the map. And it is all in aid of what? To make the skill gap between bad and good players smaller? Surely a simple one to fifty ranking system would solve this? Not rockets falling out of the sky to give the team closest to them a huge advantage! This won’t solve the skill gap at all, it shouldnt be solved good players beat bad players thats the way it is. In professional boxing they don’t give the boxer with the worst record gloves with barbed wire round them do they? No the worse fighter takes his beating and learns things he needs to improve on, and improves them. Surely bad halo players should be doing the same?

So MLG is getting the write off before the game even goes gold? With the proper settings they were able to make Reach playable on the circuit. Something tells me in the months before the game comes out, they just may work in the ability to customize the settings somewhere along the way, much like all the other games. As long as Halo 4 has that, as was said, the only thing that will stop it from being on the circuit is MLG itself.

The only thing I can see MLG being upset about is they might have to do a little more work to make the game play the way they want.

I’d be suprised if MLG don’t just drop Halo 4 completely.

And if there’s an option to turn this off for gametypes like MLG?

The problem with boxing is it restricts the fighters too much for the purpose of entertainment.
Mixed Martial Arts and Halo are better analogies to begin with and both are much exciting to watch than boxing.

Good riddance.

See ya, MLG extremists!

If Halo 4 is released with the level of customization that has been (increasing, no less) in since Halo 2, and MLG can create what they want (being able to turn off the weapon pods, instant respawns, etc.), if they drop it or not is up to them. Dropping the game now, would be an idiotic move on a grand scale.

But, if they drop the game, despite 343 giving them every tool they need to make the game to their standards, then so be it. You can re-create a Picasso with finger paint, but if you thumb your nose at the pallet, kindly step away from the canvas.

The less MLG has to alter Halo 4 to suit their own needs, the more people they’ll see migrate to their playlist and stay in their playlist.

Thus, from their point of view, the information contained in this leak is awful.

You’re so close-minded it’s not even funny.

So you are giving some sort of racism to MLG and Hardcore players? Screw you, we are players like you, with different ideas.

Halos one reasons it became successful was because of the competitivity.

Halo will be dropped from the circuit. The game should be able to be played competitively rgardless of the settings, you people don’t get that. The setting shouldn’t need to be tweaked that bad because the game just has no skill gap.

No, I’ve just had a bad experience with MLG.

They’re such d-bags to me for no reason.

I mean, seriously, they take the game way too seriously. I get yelled at if I don’t do absolutely perfect in a match. It’s so damn annoying.

Link to their tweets please?
