I feel like the motion tracker needs to be changed

So when we had the PvP brought into the Infinite Flight build by surprised after Spartan bots came in. I was really excited to try it when I got on it. But something didn’t feel right with the whole Motion Tracker being change by a ton. As I was noticing not alot of people was sprinting and reading that the motion tracker doesn’t pick up players in infinite unless they are sprinting, shooting or any sort of like fast movements (not like spinning in circles if standing there in one spot). But yea I was trying to pinpoint where enemy players were and I was watching my motion tracker and all the sudden the enemy team came over me in jogging type not sprinting and I was kinda annoyed, as I felt like the radar gonna get bended by a mile and to where it felt like I wasn’t enjoying pvp, and wasn’t kinda keeping it traditional halo motion tracker. As what I mean by that as sprint kinda slow down in infinite to where the standard jog of not sprinting is faster than the sprint.

But honestly I saw this need to be fixed as I loved what I saw in the tech preview was pretty good I ain’t gonna lie, but I feel like the motion tracker needs that back in. I can see the only way to stay off motion tracker is moving slowly or moving while crouching, as I saw few enemy players doing that method: stealth crouch moving.

But honestly it just my feedback as I am more like old school halo player since bungie days, and this motion tracker is better than 5s, but just what I am mention here in feedback I just don’t like bout it and would like to see it get improve to include the motion tracker picking up players fully jogging at full speed when not sprinting.

Also I did post an earlier feedback in case you got swarm 343. It was called “WELL SOME FEEDBACK TO HELP IMPROVE HALO INFINITE

Can’t wait for the upcoming flights for infinite though.

I think based on the feedback of the community, you may see the normal radar in social (this could be their intention anyway), the flight radar in non hardcore competitive and no radar in hardcore competitive, snipers and SWAT.

They have had a lot of feedback about this already, so don’t worry I’m sure they will consider the community voices. But also try not to rely too much on your radar, it’s a bad player habit.

Well I pay attention in my surrounding too, but like to check my radar as well lol. As I used to be pretty good in halo reach and 4 cause of the motion tracker checking lol. But I am glad infinite scorpion bringing back my classic tank heh.

I think that they have been trending for a while in the direction of trying to make the radar less powerful. For example in Halo 5 ranked team arena the radar is very similar to how it works in the Infinite test flight. I do feel like the radar in Halo Infinite is way more legible than the radar in Halo 5 but they operate the same way. I think they are trying to push players into looking at their actual surroundings more rather than basically watching the radar the entire game until they see a ping on the motion sensor and then they look around.

Well I don’t mind the ping system as I know that will reliable to ping puppy guarders on objective games even if they are sitting there with a shotgun crouch.

I only noticed on my past match of the flight that there was no ping for walking. I didnt mind it, as it brings more immersion. IMHO

Oh sorry when I said ping I meant the little triangle diamond shape that appears on your radar when the motion sensor picks someone up. The actual pinging system in the game is also really helpful although I didn’t see many people using it during the tech test.

Oh I was using it alot as we couldn’t see the gamer tag or service over our team mates head so I was using it alot.

I actually like the radar right now for eSports and ranked. It’s perfectly balanced for both and adds more strategy to the movement mechanics.
