I feel like Halo 5 will have some major twists

I’m guessing, and maybe I’m throwing on my Tin Foil hat EVA variant, that Halo 5 will have a massive twist and or turn somewhere in the Game. I got a couple reasons to believe this.

1. Halo 4 - (Spoiler alert…but its been three years…) - How can anyone forget the end of Halo 4? This was a major surprise to anyone that hadn’t leaked the ending before, such a major Character like that, an established part of the universe, gone. I get the feeling 343 enjoys creating twists and turns like this, where as Bungie focused more on the Bad–Yoink- side of Halo and shooting Zombies in the face with your mates on a couch, 343 seems very interested in creating a dark, hazardous, and surprising story. Not saying 343 is making a lame novel like game, though, not at all. They are simply looking at Halo in a different way, the same way it looked like Bungie started to do after Halo 3. We all saw that beautiful red team trailer. That was insane. The Hype right now…

2. Halo the Sprint - Remember that sick series released around E3? In that Bonnie Ross talked a couple times about how interested the studio was in making sure that once a player had completed a game, they felt surprised, refreshed. If that wasn’t a potential hint that Halo 5 was gonna have a big twist, well then maybe we’ll see some interesting Alien - Human relationships come about…

3. All of the Halo 5 Campaign Trailers, and also comments about Campaign length - A couple of months ago we got a tease from the good ol Frank O’Connor stating that Halo 5’s campaign will be twice as long as Halo 4’s Campaign. Now Halo 4’s campaign wasn’t exactly short, and whether or not Frankie means that just because of all the different pathways and sizes of levels, I am not sure. But one thing I do know is that it doesn’t seem like many different missions have been shown in the different trailers. There is Meridian, The Space station, Sanghelios, and unless if I’m missing any, that’s it. I feel like 343 is hiding a lot of The missions locations or content because they will be major changes from what we expected.

Now, maybe I’m wrong and Halo 5 will contain a run of the mill story, and just some shooting aliens. But I feel like it will be dark, mysterious, and surprising. Even if it is not, I am still hyped to see what will happen next and am especially hyped for Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer. One month and counting!

I can’t be the only one.

Calling it now, Humanity loses earth in Halo 5

Kojima needs to come to 343.

It can’t be a run of the mill story, it just can’t be. Not after all that awesome live-action advertisement and Hunt the Truth :frowning:

No… Kojima needs to make a new franchise not join one.

Plot twist! After Master Chief dies in Halo 5 he wakes up from cryosleep onboard the Pillar of Autumn, he then goes back to cry himself to cryo sleep because it was all a dream.

Yes the twist is that Chief is Locke and Locke is Chief.

Nice. And then the Covenant win

Naw, although that would be a twist I doubt they would have a guardian where they have the Ark. Although I guess we don’t know what guardians do.

I think Fred is going to die and earth is lost. Possibly infinity too. Elites will probably save what’s left😟

That would be messed up. Especially considering how its felt like humanity was on top.

The UNSC acts like children at play in a sandbox. Mistaking its edges for the limits of the world."

I can’t help but feel like the whole Locke hunting Chief motif is not going to play as big of a role in the overall scheme of campaign as we may think. I’m sure there will be a fun chunk of missions devoted to it, but ever since it was revealed that Osiris’ was first tasked with rescuing Halsey some gut feeling makes me think back to how “Defend Earth” heavy Halo 2’s marketing campaign push was in relation to actual gameplay. More so when the Enemy Lines mission (being the 11th mission?) appears to be more focused on doing errand runs for Halsey. Granted this time at least I feel like there more fleshed out content outside of this hunt for the Chief missions rather than a rush to the ending when it came to Halo 2.

Frankie accidentally said at E3 that Osiris hunts Blue Team until around halfway through the game. Who knows what’s going on in that mission, which outlets said is around the halfway point.

Crazy guesses here…
CORTANA ISN’T DEAD!
The Covenant, The Prometheans, The Flood and Humans are not main enemy group in H5G.
Master Chief uses a profanity.
A character makes a joke about duel wielding.
A mission or two take place at a previously visited location from another Halo game.
Tanaka and Vale make a joke about Buck’s “weapon”.
A grunt surrenders and joins up as a friendly companion with key plot forwarding information.
H5G’s achievement score will start off well above the standard 1,000.

Sounds good but I don’t think it will happen

It’s either gonna be a major plot-twist or its going to go all Hunt the truth season 1 ending on us.

I´m calling it out right here. It will be a Departed (the Movie) like story, where Locke works for BlueTeam and Master Chief works for Osiris
