First off, I don’t actually draw, second off, I spontaneously drew these up, because when I saw how many ugly armour sets (mostly helmets) there are going to be in Halo 5, I wanted to know how hard it could be to draw a visually appealing helmet. I really just want the community’s opinion on my armour design. Lastly, I only made that Twitter account so I could have a link for the pictures, so there is no point in following the page
The First one was me just messing around, using the Halo 4 pathfinder armour for inspiration. It sort of looks like if agent Locke made has visor the batman logo, and combined the rest of his helmet with a ski mask
The second one: I started drawing the Halo 3 Master Chief visor, and added my own details, and rounded out the skullcap, as well as add some personality to the lower half

Nailed it, however, I actually don’t mind the armor either. Some of them are a little weird in my opinion, but that’s fine, I just won’t wear them.

Same here, I really don’t like all the new helmets. But I’ll just wear the classics.

Make them bigger. The pictures seem pretty small so they look really busy. Also, if you’re really that passionate about it, shading and color will do wonders for these sketches. I understand that not everyone is an artist, nor am I, but I’ve never understood people calling stuff ugly, and then they come up with stuff like this.

Same with me. Trust me. I come up with amazing concepts. My ability to visualize things clearly makes the little kid inside me scream, but I’m not too hot at translating them into actual physical concepts. So I keep to myself with them. It’s the same reason we aren’t all tattoo artists.
The 2nd one reminds me of Carter’s helmet from Reach

We’ve all see the pictures of bad tattoos people get. What I was getting at, is what some people may think is easy, may actually take more skill than originally thought. Hence your concepts. I’m not saying they’re terrible, but I wouldn’t say they’re any better than the “ugly” armor sets you speak of. So for the same reasons that we all aren’t tattoo artists, are also the same reasons you should leave the concepts to the artists.
