Cant we just make the bundle items purchasable separately? So have a bundle for X price but you can click on the bundle and just buy a single piece if you wanted.
Really annoying i just have to skip store items because i only want 1 piece of the 8piece bundle
Well lets be honest if emblems wasnt split into 3odd pieces it wouldnât be as bad, but definitely having singular items for sale in the bundles would be great for everyone

I kinda wonder how true this actually is and how easy it would be to address since the HCS store is able to display far more items than the regular store is.
So many of the things 343 have given in response to criticism just donât seem to quite add up, like when they said they couldnât add more playlists because of the limitations of the UI. Ok⌠But you guys made the UI and you must have known that at some point more playlists would be needed so how did that mistake happen?
They werenât responding to how many bundles are in the store, they were responding to whether individual items could be bought straight from the bundles.
Sorry I wasnât clear. The point I was making was that the HCS store has lots of âslotsâ far more than the regular store so if 343 wanted to make individual items from bundles available they could surely use that format so I donât really buy their excuse that the UI canât handle it because they have a store front with⌠What is it like 9 slots?
Alternatively they could just let you go into the bundle and have a purchase bundle and a purchase individual button. That surely wouldnât be beyond their ability.
That wouldnât be a very good store either imo.
Say something has 9 items in it, that takes up 10 of the 14 slots, so we only get 4 other slots of bundles. So they canât have their items outside the bundle because that would take up too much space
Like I said, apparently the store doesnât support that.
Which is why I said, " Just take it down, if it canât do something it SHOULDâVE done from the beginning of the game, then take it down until it can."
See, itâs not about what you would or anyone would like to see changed that could improve things. Itâs literally all about what 343 wants. Tbh, I donât even know why most give any feedback to them anymore, knowing they have shown they are unwilling to work with the community.
Sorry, not sorry 343 defenders. Adjusting small petty things that any other company would do with no questions asked is not listening to the community. 343 hasnât done Jack s*** since this game released to improve things, let alone fix the absurd amount of issues.
Case and point, the community asked 343 if the could adjust the prices in the shop, to lower them (all) because the itemâs are overpriced. What did 343 do?
Put on a show as if they were going to adjust the shop but literally gave the community the finger by only adjusting a couple of things, and the defenders praised them for it
Edit: I bet anyone that if it was by law that they couldnât add a shop to a game until the game was working properly, that infinite would be in a much better state then it is now. Itâs funny how lazy developers have become these days because they make sure an overpriced shop is the first thing that is working properly, and one of the first things in a game, but screw the rest of the game right?
I would love for the store to work this way. Theyâve said with the store in itâs current state they canât do that. This means that for a change like youâre suggesting they would have to do a massive overhaul on how the shop works.
Iâm sure people remember how terrible the UI was for MCC when it was released. It was trash, plain and simple. It took a long time before they changed it. Remember when you could only select an armor set in each of the games? I remember because I freaking hated it! As did many others and that was just a normal menu system that was not tied to a purchase hub. It took years to be able to customize armor in MCC. Which to be fair is a lot of information they had to figure out how to get it to work.
Things arenât just as simple as flipping a switch or changing a 1 to a 0. You have to try and add lines and lines of code just to try and add a simple purchase this item button. You would probably have to gut a section that tied the bundle content and replace it with multiple individual item queries from the system. Which would probably increase loading times. I would assume that the current system grabs one âitemâ from the system to display and this contains each of the items in those bundles. Which means separating each item and adding each individual piece into the system and keeping the bundle content as one item as well which would create redundant files.
I donât know how the code of infinite works so this all assumption and speculation. But I do at least understand the complexity of game design and making everything work together. Iâm not defending 343i or the length of time it has taken for changes to be made/implemented. Just simply saying I understand, but that doesnât mean Iâm okay with how things were/are/will be. Changes do need to be made.
Yeah but you see alot of people would buy singular items or multiple items from a bundle.
Lets be realistic the priced will likely drop abit more still but lets say you have a bundle of 6items that costs 1000cr but you buy single items for 250cr (total 1500cr if brought separate)
but some players may only want 2 pieces not all 6 and avoid buying it due to that factor meaning 343 miss out on 500cr worth from that one player.
But youd then have players that want 3/6 of the items for 750cr, now for another 250cr they can just get the full bundle and so it may interest them to do so.
So far theres been at least 1 bit in each bundle i might of brought if it was singular. But because theyre all in a full bundle i wont.
Im sure im not alone in skipping bundles because they would only care for 1 or 2 pieces, thats alot of money missed out on due to bundles.
Its smarter to have a bundle with a low price with single purchases optional but at a price increase.
I like some items and I do buy bundles if I like one of the items in them. I can afford it, so I have bought quite a few. And probably will buy more of those I like.
Having that said, there were a few items (like winter wasp skin or some warthog attachments, some armor color schemes) which Iâd love to buy because I really liked them, but the whole bundle was too expensive for me to consider it reasonable, while there was 1 item I liked and most of the bundle was just filler. How many backgrounds or emblems does 343 think we need? I use 1 background I like and 1 emblem on everything. Donât plan on changing them anytime soon unless something really awesome is added.
I donât mind if there are backgrounds or emblems added to a bundle as a bonus, but the price should be based on a main item of the bundle, not on item count including meaningless filler.
Also, we have really few interesting armor coatings given how limited they are. Iâm waiting for a blue+silver version of the recent blue+gold armor coating (forgot the name - royal blue or something?)
The HCS store might not be the perfect solution but since it has 14 slots for items thatâs still an improvement on the number of slots than the current store which would allow for more items to be showcased and purchased than the current store does.
I donât for a second buy the fact that 343 arenât able to make tabs or pages or something. As for their ability to not sell items individually from inside the bundle screen again it just sounds bizarre, thatâs really basic coding for a digital storefront and other current Microsoft games do it.
Their entire business model for Halo Infinite is to make money by selling microtransactions, are we really to believe that the thought never once crossed their minds as to how they could sell more than 4 items/bundles (not including the xp boost/challenge swaps) at a time?
I think itâs much more likely, as others have said, that they just want to focus on bundles so they can justify higher prices rather than allowing players the choice of whether they want to cherry pick individual items from a bundle and spend less. Several bundles so far have lots of padding in them - âThis bundle contains 20 items (18 of which is the same sticker to go on your guns or vehicles)â.
This engine has some serious issues, so Iâm not really surprised.
They shot themselves in the foot here
Theyâve already spent too much time on the store when they shouldâve been working on other things.
A working store is useless if the rest of the game is bad (aside from gameplay)
I think youâre giving too much credit to them.
EA thinks Infinite is a âvery polished gameâ
If that is the industry (AAA) standard, than it is sad
