I don't understand....

Halo players bash of CoD for not changing, yet whenever Halo changes everyone -Yoinks!- and moans.

Can someone explain this to me?

It’s easier to insult something you have no interest in for no real reason.
Then they turn around and complain about changes that require them to rethink their playstyle and strategies they learned from the previous game.

Its probably because Halo doesnt come out every year and get people to pay $60 for the same game over and over. I do always find the unhappiness of people pretty funny though with how people hated on Halo 3 because it wasnt 2, and then as soon as Reach comes out they hate on that because it wasnt 3.

Most people bash Reach because its changes sucked.

For example, no one bashes Forge 2.0, because that was a good change.

Bloom, AAs, and every other Shadowrun-rip-off feature that Reach came with, on the other hand,…

We are hypocrites, thats why!

People love to complain. It’s that simple. And the people that are satisfied are way less vocal than those who aren’t. That’s why if you go on imdb and look at the message boards for some of the most unanimously enjoyed movies in recent times (The Dark Knight, Inception, District 9 to name some of my personal ones) it’s nothing but people saying they can’t believe everyone loves those movies and complaining about trivial details. It’s the same way when a sequel for any game comes out. When halo 3 came out a lot of my hardcore halo 2 playing friends (and apparently about 90 percent of the bungie message boards) said that it sucked and ruined halo and they were just gonna keep playing halo 2. Then they eventually came around and when Reach came out they said the exact same thing about Reach and went back to Halo 3. It happens every time.
