I don't understand why people want 343 to move onto the next game already

The fact that Halo 4 remains the only FPS game that 343 has made that’s complete on launch is sad. It’s nearly a decade old already and they’re still struggling to meet that standard.

People will move on long before they give up on the drip feed of content and the drip feed device is having issues

Why does anyone suggest this when there is zero chance of this happening? MS created 343 for the sole purpose of continuing the Halo franchise. It will never be moved to another studio’s hands. It is 343’s only reason for existence. We may get spin-off titles made by other companies like Halo Wars 2, but main series games will always be done by 343.

Halo 4 is the only 343 title that released in a complete and fully functional state. Given the knowledge of so many people since then that have come and gone during games’ development, my thought is that the problem is likely one of management and company culture. A company should not be bleeding off talent with this kind of frequency. With the departure of Ross, hopefully that’s a sign of MS finally noticing a problem and them cracking down on things. All we can do is wait and see what is done to fix 343’s problems. Hopefully there’s a major management change and the game finally gets the support it needs, because I would honestly hate to see Infinite die from this. The core gameplay is great and it would be a shame for it to die a premature death because it lacked the needed support to sustain the game.

Halo 4 was complete but it was a call of duty clone at heart not a halo game

This is something a lot of people have said for years that continues to completely baffle me. Halo 4 feels nothing like any COD game. Destiny feels way more like COD than Halo 4 does. Halo 4 felt like a move back towards the Halo feel after the massive misstep that was Reach.

Oh I agree it’s sad, it’s pathetic even. But I Halo 4 is proof to me 343 CAN make a content complete game, it’s just the mismanagement from the higher ups that results in that NOT happening.

Improve it when? In 5 years?
