On my first account I won like 9/10 with 10KDA, got ranked in bronze.
My friend won 10/10 games got ranked in silver.
I started a new account, by playing alone, won 6/10 games, with a 4.8, got ranked in onyx 1.
Yep, it’s kind of weird.
I won 7/10 matches with a 7.8. I got put at Gold 1.
It’s somewhat broken right now. It places you also on how well you do. So if you’re in a party of 4 and they carry you and you barely do anything, even though you’re 10/10 you didn’t necessarily so much so it places you lower. As a soloer you probably contributed much more
I lost a match but went 20 for 8 and got deranked by 83 points?? Then I played a match, won with 20 and 6 and only regained 4 points??? Don’t understand it maybe it has to do with a mad losing streak that I had before, but the system has to take into account that we lost because one guy went 1 for 16… The rest shouldn’t be dragged down so badly but it looks like this is a problem and 343 is listening- they will fix it- hopefully. Otherwise the game is super awesome and fun, I love Eden not so much regret, truth and empire are also pretty decent but Eden takes the cake. And yes, I got deranged by 83 points

I got 10 games in and my rank went straight to semi pro…then all the garbage players came in and i lost it…
Simply put its broken (ish?)
You need a huge population to get a skill ranking system to work properly. Not everyone owns an XBone since there still is little on it and fewer with TMCC expecially after its launch. So you have a reletively low population so its not going to work right based off of that alone. Combine it with the fact the ranking system isnt the best to begin with and there you go.
I hope 343 is looking hard at this so we can have a much better ranking system at launch.
I won a match with 24 kills and 4 deaths and I got 14 points. Then I lost a match with 18 kills and 16 deaths and lost 24 points.
I am seeing a lot of problems with the ranking system. Let me preface this with the fact I’ve been playing every game competitively since halo 2 and consider myself well above average.
After the first 10 games, my slayer rank became silver 3, after still getting used to the game. Now, I go into matches against onyx people and easily push a 2-4.0 KD. How in the hell did they get placed into onyx when they are that bad? It is so frustrating to try and rank up while going 20-5 and your teammates are like 3-17…
My rank for breakout is pretty ridiculous. My W/L for the first 10 games was 6/4, and every game I was on top with at least 8 or 9 kills and only a couple deaths. One game I went 12-0. Anyways, I was place in Iron 3…wtf?? I was playing against onyx/gold players for some of those games and still performing that well, how is this even possible?
This makes absolutely no sense. People keep saying there are plenty of factors, but this literally does not add up one bit…
343, I wouldn’t be so impatient and on such a short fuse but holy -Yoink- your previous release is still broken online, and I will never let it slip under the rug like you shamefully intend.
