I don't understand the children screaming Yay

I didn’t understand it in Reach and now that it is added back in Fiesta Classic I still don’t get it. And now it is much more frequent and annoying. Make it stop please?

Also what is with the confetti? Don’t get that either.

Mate, Fiesta is ‘‘Party’’ in spanish

Fiestas are full of happy people, not angry and bloody people lol

Piñata.

fiesta.

what’s not to get?

it is too loud and kinda overrides the other sounds, but other than that I’d just a fun thing.

Comes from an Easteregg / Hidden skull back in Halo 2. There were a skull called “Grunt birthday party”, and enemies exploded like plasma grenades after an headshot.

In Halo 3, this skull returned as an fun skull, with the edited effect, that grunts (and grunts only) explode in an mass of confetti with this “YAY” voice when you give them a headshot.

That where it originally comes from.

K thanks - that I understand. This association with Fiesta gametype is new. It used to be that Fiesta was a party of weapons not annoying kids screaming. For example I loved Fiesta on Ghost Town. That was great - no kids, no confetti.

It’s only in Fiesta Classic, I think. I don’t know yet, never played Fiesta Classic as of now. Playing Action Sack now again.

The association might come from that “Fiesta means party in spanish” like BhazeroAkamane explained.

PS give my post a “Thank” then please, nobody does although I help :’(

Thanks for the thanks

Just played a round of Fiesta classic. Whilst the mode itself is kinda interesting (but unbalanced) I specificly played it because of the “yay”.

Yes, it’s the same as it is in Halo 3, Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST.

I think, 343I is testing something with this and added this to the effect that occurs, when you killed a king in Regicide. They added this effect then to appear, whenever someone died in a fun mode and now they added the “yay” and made it more colourful (but too loud).

Interesting.

It’s more than likely an option that was going to be put in Customs, but due to time restraints (like most things missing from Customs), it didn’t make it.

And now they are adding it afterwards?

They got time now.

And, better late than never.

It’s the stupid Grunt Birthday Party effect from Halo 3 that replaced the far superior and less annoying plasma grenade explosion from Halo 2.

Jup, I agree to that.

Already posted that. Stop copying or posting stuff already said.
A CmotW should know that.
