I don't understand Regicide...

So is it purposely not based on skill or did someone actually try to make this gametype a strategic playing of the game?

I’m not exactly a competitive player, but when I was at the top and, out of nowhere, some dude just jumps to 1st place and wins because of how well I was doing and some lucky grenade that killed me, I felt sort of cheated.

Thats how I feel, it’s not fair at the final minutes when you’ve been besting the whole time so you have 35 points on your head and someone gets lucky and kills you then all of a sudden he wins.

Its official… halo 4 is random and blows. I could gladly get my game and throw it out my window. And I’m an Obsessed halo fan :l…

Yeah, I’ve heard much the same from my friends.

Looks like I’ll be keeping my distance from that playlist.

I agree. I was an obsessed Halo fan as well until Halo: Reach and 4. Sad to see the Halo 4 X-Box Live population drop faster than Reach. Many sighs…

This playlist makes no sense. Your better off being in like second and then just killing the king in the last five seconds.

Same as what you guys said =(

Halo 4 caters to those with no skill.

In Regicide, you win by the QUALITY of your kills, not the QUANTITY.

For example, Killing someone with a headshot gets you more points than a standard body shot kill. I guess you could say the “fancier” your kills, the better you’ll do. So yes, it requires more strategy than just shooting or spray and pray kills.

Also, play the objective. Kill the King. You’ll get a ton of points depending on how big his bonus is.

I really like this playlist. Who cares? It’s part of the designed gameplay. And for that matter, I’ve enjoyed most of the Halo 4 playlists thus far. This game is much better than other competitors. I haven’t purchased Halo since 3, and I’m going to continue leveling in this one.

Maybe you could say this playlist does not cater to those who cannot finish games?

The problem arises when you’re the king for 90% of the game and still lose. You don’t get rewarded enough for being the king.

That is when you use being the King to your advantage. Funnel people into small areas as they chase you. Try to get them to fight each other while chasing you so you can then just pick them off.

The gametype does require some degree of strategy. Running and gunning alone will not win Regicide most of the time.
