The worst thing you can do as a company is lose the trust of your fans and thats what has happened here im sure many other people feel the same way it started with halo 4 sure it had its problems but overall the game was decent and it was 343s first game so they deserved a second chance to improve on it, second the master chief collection this was everyones dream game collection but what did they do? completely destroy it by releasing it in a horrible state, besides campaign the multiplayer didnt work for months and still to this day doesnt work properly i never even really got to play the game, the third strike is halo 5 where do i start…alot of people have summed it up already so i wont repeat all the things wrong with this game again but besides the actual game itself this game was just a bunch of lies up until release…
completely misleading marketing campaign getting people hyped up for a story that was nothing like what was shown
Lied about the number of maps in the game
Lied about the length of the game
i could go on but what im saying is they have lost my trust and i am actually worried about the future of this series which was once legendary and as a halo fan im not sure if i want to buy the next game and ive never said that before until now…
Hate to break this to you but misleading customers is a common practice whe it comes to marketing, sucks i know. I mean they never really said the entire campaign would be Locke hunting Chief, though the whole Begin the Hunt crap or whatever it was definitely fueled fans imaginations and raised our hope, if anything halo 5 fell victim to the fans own imaginations about the game.
No not really, they said a certain number of maps and we got that number of maps, now all because some were forged or remixes does NOT make them non-maps. They make them uninspired maps but maps still the same.
They never said it would be a 15 hour game, they said the longest halo, which could be either in time or number of missions. If you play on harder difficulties while hunting for skulls and intel it would take you much longer. I dont think they should have counted the walk around areas as missions though I still enjoyed them, the hidden dialogue and lore they provided was interesting and definitely made you realize that this was a universe not just a go here and shoot things world. I wish more players would take their time and really look into the world game developers craft, not just in halo but others as well. Instead a lot of players blindly run around shoot and have the attention span of a pea, its a shame. Could it have been longer, oh very much so, with better writing they could having drawn out sections and made them more interesting (I think they had a missed opportunity with battle of Sunian) but they never said it would be the longest in time just in mission count. Now that doesnt make it necessarily better but saying they completely lied is a false statement, bent the truth sure but not completely lie.
Thats fine if you dont buy the next game or are skeptical, there were plenty of missteps in halo 5, however they nailed the game play and I know that was their major focus in halo 5. As a consequence campaign suffered, i am skeptical of Halo 6 as well but now that a lot of the game play is relatively fine tuned (grenade bounce needs to be altered) I hope that they focus heavily on story for the next installment. Ive said this before, I viewed halo 5 as a first act of a 3 act play, the first act presents questions and provides little answers, the second act (6) should provide some answer while adding a couple questions such as the fate of a character, than the conclusion should wrap everything up in a nice bow. Basically what the original trilogy of star wars did. I hope you still follow halo and see were it goes but I wouldnt make any brash assumptions yet, we still got 2-3 yrs before the next game (halo’s average development cycle)

What do you want him to say? You made a post that could have been a blog post or a Facebook status tbh. You looking for ppl to agree with your point or disagree so you can call them 343 fanboys.
It sucks that you feel that way, I head reach is out and playable one your Xbox one and there are plenty of other games out there. Byee and maybe we will see you again when halo changes hands again.

I happen to agree with him. 343 is terribly misleading. the content that should have been there from the start is added as ‘dlc’ .

correction its added as an ‘update’ lol I dont really see why people are mad about it, hey if you had to pay for it I say you would have every right to be angry but since the content is free and is being sent out in chunks to test and refine I see there being no problem. But hey people need to whine about something right
I haven’t trusted them completely since Halo 4 but I still play and enjoy there content, sometimes you have to take the lot of good with the little bad and either deal with it or help make the situation better.
