I don't think I'm ever going to play BTB again...

I like BTB. Mainly for the vehicles. But here’s the problem.

I’m sick and tired of being matched against full-party, insanely good players. I thought this was supposeg to be matchmaking. You know, when the game matches you with similarly-skilled players? But take tonight as an example. Me and my friends are usually pretty good at BTB. But tonight? 4 or 5 “matches” were just plain awful. The other team always won with 100, but my team never broke 40. Part of it was that parts over my team was bad, but it was mainly because the other team was just too damn good for us.

343, please fix this. If Halo 4 is anything like this, I’m going to buy it, play the campaign in 1 night, and return it. Please give us something like the 1-50, if not the 1-50 itself. I am NOT having fun in Reach. I’m having a terrible time.

Social everything = fail.

Sorry buddy, this is a by-product of giving good playes mini-snipers off-spawn =/

LOL are you kidding me? It’s a by product of a horrible matchmaking system. The game shouldn’t be dumbed down to accommodate bad players vs good players; bad players just shouldn’t have to face good players.

Not unless we’re filming it so we can play the tape whenever we want to laugh at some nubs.

You do realise you can avoid these players in future matches by viewing the user’s GamerCard and then select the Submit Player Review option.

So I have to face and then avoid every good player before I can get fair matches?

I’ve had the same issues in BTB here and there. Too many mass parties running about, occasionally see ones that honor a ‘unseen line’ but most run rampant into bases and make things unpleasant.

It would be really nice to see the weighting system adjusted to favor large parties against large parties. BTB should have a large enough Pop for that to function properly.

No, its a by product of low populations and loose trueskill restrictions. If the players are better, they will win with whatever weapons they are given.

To the OP, what needs to happen is party restrictions. Parties of eight should only match parties 5+. This way they can still find games, but they aren’t pit against a group of random players.

The lack of party restrictions is so exploitable in the game it isn’t even funny. The top win streak records in the game are from full parties just beating randoms who have half their team quit.

Short answer, yes. Anyway, as for all this “parties of eight” talk. If you can’t beat them, join them or make your own party of eight until the party restrictions are improved and become more balanced.

disagree. If this game didn’t suck so bad and turn away the majority of those who loved previous Halo’s, 343 could tighten trueskill/ implement better party restrictions and it wouldn’t be a problem.

Yeah but we shouldn’t have to. I should be able to go into any match, as a random, and play good game and have fun.

Oh and not to mention these games tonight was Anniversary BTB, and my incompetent teammates were using the DMR at medium-close range instead of the God Pistol. Even after I was literally BEGGING them over the mic to use the pistol. So this is matching decent players (me) and terrible players (my team) against insanely good players.

And, I tried turning the Skill search restriction off and on. NO DIFFERENCE.

Party up is the answer to losing when communication is the key to victory. I should be able to find good games at my level where communication isn’t clutch.

I agree with that and I wish I could do that all the time as well. I’m sure all of us wish the same. But, this is Xbox LIVE and just like the internet you are going to come across a jerk or a whole bunch of them. Yet, unlike the internet, Xbox LIVE has a simple system to help users avoid these type of people. The tools and features have been available from the beginning, people. Use them.

I never use the pistol; still poop on kids. just sayin. bad aim is bad aim regardless; the pistol isn’t going to help much with the derps it sounds like you got matched with

But honestly, in Reach at least, you can’t play BTB by yourself. It sucks, but it’s just how it is.

Yeah BTB is fun with many players you know but without people you know it can just be boring or aggravating

I’ve had games like that. I know your pain.

If you know you have a chance of matching up against a full party by yourself, then why do you go in if your just going to cry about getting beat by them?

Just quit out until you get a fair match or go in with some friends. That’s what I did before I stopped playng reach out of disgust.
