I don’t think that Halos after Halo: Reach were bad. I think Halo 4 was was fun. I think Halo 5 is really good and I think that most people or old Halo fans hate it.

This is the crux of it really. People don’t like change.
I’ve been playing since '02, and Halo 4 has the best campaign in the series (but the worst multiplayer).

This is my exact feelings about H4 and why it’s probably my least played of all the games.
halo 4 isnt bad, but halo 3 is in its own class. halo 4 is just another good game. halo 3 had a million pple online for awhile. that was some real -Yoink-. i wish they’d make the dlc free or bring them down to $5, at least fo ra month so everyone cna buy them and get on btb. h3 is almost all slayer
It’s just very different. 343i took the game in a different direction, and the Halo community wasn’t ready for change. I have been along for the ride since Halo 1 and will play the game regardless of how -Yoink- or great it is, and I do think Halo 5 is a terrific step for 343i.
IMO Halo 4 has an amazing story, one of the best of the Halo’s. However actually playing the campaign wasn’t fun to many.
And multiplayer wise they just changed to much.
Yer… loved the story in Halo 4, the relationship between Chief and Cortana was at its most personal but multiplayer wasn’t on the same level as 3.
H4 was a great game imo.
I hated the story for H5 because they made it such a mess. The game play is fun though.
I still consistently play H4.
I didn’t think it was either. In fact, it’s my favourite Halo game and the first that I played.
I like Halo 3 overall. Multiplayer and campaign. The newer games I have problems with the multiplayer, not the campaign. Campaigns are enjoyable regardless for me, but the multiplayer…
I didn’t think Halo 4 was bad either. In fact I love to replay the campaign and MP from time to time.
Is it my favorite Halo? No. Do I hate it? No.
Each Halo is uniquely different from each other, and some players are more prone to hate one more in particular than another. It’s just the nature of the beast and the fear of change.

Interesting that you say that, since I’ve been wanting Halo to “change” for the better since CE.
I thought halo 4’s campaign wasn’t as good as some of the others. In my opinion, the multiplayer was a step in the right direction until they patched it with increased base movement speed to appease the epeen/esport clubs.
Halo 4 is a nice game to have fun and so does all the halo games.
I like Halo 4, it’s my favorite game of all the franchise, to be honest

It’s true old halo fans hate it mostly because it’s different and more competitive fast paste. But i agree with you halo 4 was not bad I enjoyed it very much
Agreed, not a bad game at all. Really enjoyed the story between Cortana and Chief and if you play it on xbox one running 1080p and 60 fps it looks nearly as good as Halo 5.
Halo 4 was actually a good game. It felt really militaristic and I loved the Chief. We saw so much emotion that we haven’t ever seen. We also got to see his closest friend, Cortana, become rampant and lose stability. But in Halo 5 we don’t see this Chief. The premise was okay, and if it had been executed properly, the campaign could have been better. We were led to believe that it would be about new Spartans vs old Spartans. But no, all we get is one cutscene that isn’t that good.
I really love the campaign
Halo 4 campaign was a great one, a little short imo, but some musics like “Arrival” and “117” In the Midnight mission are really so epic to hear, And the graphisms ! Guys c’mon… Those who sayin’ than Halo 4 is bad are really blinded.
