Now we know that chief saved the galaxy but do we really want our kids to look up to him because he doesn’t pay his taxes or has a house. Then there is his physical well being I’m worried for chief he doesn’t eat, clean himself or even floss, he wears the same clothing and armour all the time. Also we can’t forget that he wiped out an endangered species (the last forerunner).
So please 343i get master chief help
Edit:
Have you guys even seen chief take his nutritious vitamins?
I’m fairly sure 18 years olds qualify just fine seeing as though the M-rating is for 17+. Chief didn’t kill the last Forerunner either, there are more out there besides the Didact, who is still alive anyway.

I know, don’t know why you are being serious about this also a lot of halo fans played halo CE when they weren’t old enough and that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t of played it

I’m in my early teens and I grew up with Halo. It’s not like it affected me or anything.
If anything, people around my age should NEVER play GTA or something like that.

Was in my teens when Halo became. No issues. I don’t buy into the whole video games or movies causing violence. Violence has always been around, and is higher right now in the US due to our awesome economy…
But anyways, if Chief isn’t a good role model then neither were Power Rangers.
Well if you take John in training… he’s obedient, does exercise, goes to school stuff and lots of stuff.
And GTA? I like GTA, GTA was one of my first Xbox games. I played it a lot and I’m fine in that aspect. Even online, I recentlyish went to play GTA, I was nice to a guy there, I didn’t try to kill him, steal him, defraud him. We talked and tried doing stuff, but then my friend came. I wouldn’t trust my friend too much.
To be honest I never find the chief a whole interesting character when I played the games when I was younger. I only find him to be the camera for the player which to me didn’t make me look up or relate him as character to find him as a role model. To be fair, I watched a lot of the Alien movies in my early teen years right as I was getting back into Halo so that could explain that.
As for bad role models, you clearly haven’t read Joe Quesada’s Spiderman: One More Day where Spiderman makes a deal with the devil to get rid of his marriage with Mary Jane just to save his 80 year old all ready at death’s door dying aunt after she told him to let her go. Also the devil wipes everyone’s mind of the event and they act like it never happen.
As far as I concerned, I rather have someone look at the chief as a role model over that. Even if he’s just mowing armies of aliens like the Colonial Marines with the Xenomorphs or the Federation troopers with the bugs.
I just got an idea.
As far as Chief being a role model:
He always, and without question, does whatever Cortana asks of him. He will blatantly disobey a direct order from a superior officer in favor of his pretty blue crazy girlfriend.
So, what if, for your kids, you could install a Siri/Cortana-esque “AI” app onto their phone or tablet that seems all hip, cool, and -Yoink!- … yet it’s controlled by you. Tell them it’s comprised of the most complex algorithms known to man and is capable of assessing situations, is empathetic, and will learn and grow based on its interaction with them.
Make it helpful, have it offer suggestions and advice that a parent would give, except they might actually listen to it, not knowing it’s just you controlling the thing.
Hell, condition them to think they’re ignoring you, and for good measure have it always say “Would you kindly?”
It’ll be fun to play Pavlovian Conditioning with your own children … in the end, they’ll either turn out just how you wanted, or you’ll be paying their therapy bills.

That’s what nearly every military in the world is. Everyone who joins is doing just that.
What’s the difference between Master Chief and G.I. Joe of the 1960s? Or Buck Rodgers?
YEAH!!!
He needs some vitamin D, he needs to pay his taxes, he needs to take over his family’s credit state, and he needs to pay his respects to elders like Johnson!!!
Yeah! I’m sick of film makers, video game developers etc, portraying main characters in such a weird way that give children the wrong idea of how to live life. No toiletries, no cleanliness, no hygiene, physically immortal, no responsibilities, and not a single care in the world. Take Goku from the Dragonball anime for example; At the end of the Cell series, he CHOOSES to stay dead instead of coming back to the living world, to look after his son. What kind if a father is that? Who would neglect their family and children in such a manner. To think someone would willingly leave their 11 year old son to grow up without a father…despicable. Goku has got to be the worst role model/father in history.

Except that he’s fighting multiple races of aliens instead, saving humans.
