Well i dont want this post to be a complain about the game because i indeed like Halo 4 a lot.
But i truly don’t understand why 343is didn’t implemented the division between Skill matches (ranked) and just for fun matches (Social) . I really loved the ranking system halo 3 had but my subject is not about this only, not having the division between matches makes it really annoying for playing with friends who doesn’t have the same skill level as you, they will always get pawned and end up bored of playing. Therefore if you want to win or want your friends to be happy you have to play alone… And in my opinion one of the biggest feelings of this game is winning a game with your FRIENDS.
Also im a competitive player i play to win in almost every game but theres time when i only want to chill out, relax and stop being so stressed about winning, but having people playing their best almost every time makes it imposible for me.
And to the people that complains about ranked matches, why dont they stick up with social is not that they are loosing something, everyone is winning by adding this division and is making the game more atractive and most important more fun to play.
I don’t understand most of 343’s reasoning for anything in this game.

You cant simply blame the community for its state at the momnt.
There are a lot of factors

- Halo 4 being a cashgrab more than anything else(we can argue over its quality all you like, but simply put the only reason why Halo exists today is because its still Profitable for Microsoft
- 343i’s almost invisible status on their own forums
- Fanboys just starting flamewars (Both sides)
- 343i designing a system/mechanics which prioritizing new players in a “social” environment rather than a competetive system which rewards players who play the most (visible rank).
