I have been playing more of Star Wars: Battlefront than anything pretty recently and to be honest I find the online and offline features of the game a little more enjoyable than I previously found halo 5. Just to put this into perspective, I pre-ordered halo 5 LE and was hyped for it, I played it for a few months and within those few months, although I enjoyed the game there were major flaws. No splitscreen; no firefight and in my opinion these “fancy graphics” look worse than halo 2 anniversary played splitscreen. And it is not as if I am some bronze 3 noob at team slayer or anything, I did get to onyx 1500 (whatever that is, look on my service record and tell me) in swat. I enjoyed team slayer but all the time I was being betrayed and I don’t enjoy these new mechanics as much, although I love breakout.
Bear in mind that when I played and enjoyed the game, the content was limited, but I enjoyed it, I have come back for the DLC and not to my surprise the servers have been down… Warzone I like, especially raid on apex 7. But when battlefront came out I instantly preferred, maybe I am too much of a noob to learn how to be successful at a game and like the noob-friendly casual experience, maybe I just like acing the survival missions on master without dying with my friend at my side, not behind his own TV, paying xbox live gold just to have an experience a little less enjoyable than SNES.
Now I have rambled for over 1400 characters now and I realise that most of what I have said is complete -Yoink- to be honest, but what am I truly missing out while I am not playing halo 5?
Also I fully appreciate that I am a complete noob, that whole not a noob thing was a failed attempt at persuasive text.
Nah, you’re not missing much.

Pretty much this, once my company is done with the helmet I’m going back to H4
Come back and see how it is after all the updates are done.
You are missing out on assault and Grifball. That is it so far. If you come back this weekend you will catch the Warzone Firefight beta (something you probably would love), and next month will be infection.
Also, everyone hit Onyx in swat in pre-season, even me.
If you have to ask this question then you probably already know the answer
I probably will come back for the firefight beta but if it is anything like when I came back for grifball and the servers were down then you know…

The servers are… mostly fine now. Why use a temporary issue as an excuse not to ever try something? I see a lot of people do this. It’s annoying.
I haven’t played MP for… I can’t even remember how long. I’m not into the competitive arena side and WZ was it when I played. I’ve heard that they’ve added a few more game types and social modes… but in all honesty, every time they add a game type that interests me, it gets lumped into this “weekly/weekend rotation”… or whatever it is they do with it.
If I were to start playing it again, the last thing I’d want bothered with is trying to figure out if I’ll be able to play the game types I’ve been looking forward to, or the game types I’m in the mood to play, right away… or if I’ll have to wait until they come into rotation. Which is, in large part, why I don’t bother.

People expect a perfect server now a days. Once it goes down then it’s time to cause hell. They’re much better than p2p and the best I’ve been on personally.

I am not using it as an excuse, I am simply saying I will be displeased if the servers are down. And most times I come back and try and play the servers mess up or I get banned for quitting a betrayal full match.
besides… most servers are better than EA… including the MCC’s.
I’m having a blast everyday. You missed WZ turbo, which was the most fun I’ve ever had in a Halo game.
Idk, if you didn’t have fun before, it’s not like the game is ever drastically going to change.

I might come back this weekend.
It’s good for a while but it seems to be souring again
You liked Battlefront more than Halo 5?
Yikes…
Have you played the original Battlefront games?

Yes I have, and although I feel the new Battlefront plays much differently to the older games I still enjoy it.

El Oh El
People actually go back to H4?
