I don't like the way 343 snubs Halo Community

TAKE THE TIME TO READ WHAT I’M SAYING BEFORE YOU REPLY TO ME.

I know they say they listen to us, and they aren’t lying.

But when 95% of us say things like we want a visible ranking system, they come up with garbage like -

“As much as we respect the wishes of the Halo Community, the Halo Community is only one portion of the Halo population. It may be their wish that we implement a visible ranking system, but how do we know people outside the Halo community also want this as well?”.

So basically 343 are just doing what they want and saying that we, the people that take the time to voice our opinions, are only a portion of the people that play Halo, so that justifies them not doing something we want them to do, because they don’t know if others would enjoy the changes. That means they can just address any change that we propose to them like this -

“You are only few of many, others may disagree, so no change will be made kthxlol”.

It’s ridiculous. Most players outside the halo community are most likely players that are casual gamers that just enjoy Halo how it is now. The Halo Community are the ones who are putting effort into addressing problems, and many of us also realise that our opinions are just opinions and not completely right, but we’ve offered fair compromises like -

Split Ranked and Social -

Social will just be how Halo is right now, for the gamers that enjoy the game in it’s present condition, and Ranked can have the changes that us in the Halo Community want to see. Everyone can be happy!!!

But no - If 343 doesn’t like it, then it’s the kthxlol response. It’s not fair that they snub the ideas that they don’t like.

Anyone else find this annoying?

I definitely agree about having Social/Ranked. I too have been ignored by 343. They removed me from the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge leaderboards, 2 days before they were totally final. I was 15th in Tier 1 and I worked my -Yoink- off. I talked to -Yoink!- Gaming and they (After 10+ emails!) responded and said I was removed by 343 for not being able to abide by the rules and regulations.

I have tweeted @bsangel and @halowaypoint with no response at all. I believe I PMd them on there as well. I asked -Yoink!- Gaming for an email to contact 343 but they are now ignoring me as well. I’ve even posted in these forums and in the Waypoint forums.

Also, I didn’t cheat, so. lol. I slept and turned off my xbox everyday for fear of red ring.

Don’t bump your thread, and your whole “95%” thing is garbage. Just write “Most” or something like that, someone can and will easily pick what you’re saying apart.

And before you reply, I read the whole thing. But pointing out that mistake is all I can really add to this since this thread has been posted many times before.

I agree. They should go ahead with it. How do they know if the rest of the community doesn’t want something as good as a visible ranking system? They don’t. But, I’m pretty damn sure that most of “everyone else in the Halo population” would want this as well. Those casuals you speak of, the like Halo how it is now? I’m pretty sure they’d like it with any other changes. They wouldn’t care, they’d be fine with it. They should go with it.

The reason I write 95% is because whenever I see polls for ranking systems, around 90-95% are in favour of the ranking system.

OP, I can disprove one of your points. How, you may ask? It’s simple:

TU nerfing the Boltshot.

A visible ranking system would be nice, bit it’s not a game breaker for me. Pixel numbers will never have an impact on my life. What will they matter in a few years?

^

I never said they never listen or that they don’t make changes, but when they get a suggestion that they don’t agree with, they snub it.

OP a lot of the people in this community do not voice an opinion but instead make topics Like “OMG 343 I FEED UP WITH THIS -Yoink-” instead of being calm and saying constructive criticism which there are a few but do not get as much attention as dumb posts like these.

The boltshot is still a one-shot kill.

This is a very accurate snippet of what a “casual” Halo player thinks of the current state of affairs for H4 MM.

I don’t care what they do with the Multiplayer.

I’m open to whatever they do with it and what everyone else wants too.

I don’t want a visible rank.
I don’t want a Halo 3 style game.
I don’t want the BR to be king again.
I don’t want AA’s out of the game.
I don’t want loadouts taken out.

You are not the only one in the community, and you don’t speak for me.

I don’t see how that counts as “garbage” since that is factual. Not everybody wanted the boltshot changed but since everybody was crying about it they changed it.

You can’t get on 343I for catering and then get on them for not doing what you wanted.

Aww man, do you know exactly why you were banned?

Yes, but they nerfed a huge problem of the gun, and another thing that most complaints were about was the range, not the one-shot benefit of it. However, I do acknowledge that you are right here, but they still nerfed it regardless.

That’s fair enough, but keep in mind that even though there are many people like you who enjoy the changes made with Halo 4, there are many many people who don’t.

By the way can I ask why you don’t want a visible rank? I’m interested because you’re the first person I’ve seen who has said this and I’m trying to understand the logic.
Would it not be ok to just play social and not care about your rank even though it’s there? I’m someone who doesn’t really care about my rank in Halo too, but I would never dream of having it taken away from the many fans who do like it, just so that I can be happy.
I just don’t look at it or work at it, the fact that it is there doesn’t bother me at all. So I’m just wondering what bothers you about it?

Also, as for BR being king again, I think most people who complain about the DMR, just want it to be balanced with the other starting weapons, so that using the BR doesn’t put you at an unenjoyable disadvantage.
I think the whole point is that there shouldn’t be a “king” of the loadout weapons.

As for armor abilities, I don’t want them out of the game either, I just want them out of the loadouts, and I think that most people who have a problem with them just don’t like that they are a loadout option.

What about Rigest and his survey BS angel replied to it within like a few hours and mentioned some good news on future updates consisting of things a large amount of the community have been asking for.

I don’t want a visible Rank because it promotes Boosters and people measuring their E--Yoink!-… it was very annoying in the H2, and H3 days… CE didn’t have that problem people just played CE for fun, and I like that.
