Hello, I’m writing this post to discuss about some changes that will afect the gameplay in Halo 4.
INSTANT RESPAWNING: This definetly will affect to the competitive gameplay and, definetely in CTF.(EDIT: There’s no Instant Respawn in Objective games) Also you will no be able to get Exterminations as the has been known in other Halo games.
GRENADE INDICATOR: This doesn’t make any sense at all, in other games (CoD, for example), grenades last some time before exploding, in Halo they explode in 1 second, so, where’s the point??? This only makes the HUD annoying.
WEAPON/EQUIPMENT DROP: They will ruin competitive gameplay, Halo good maps are known because you must play with your Teamates to control some strategic positions, most of times because there’s a respawn of a powerful weapon as the sniper or the rocket.
So, I don’t understand why they added this, I only see that it’s just an addition to sell more copies of halo.
ARMOR ABILITIES: I found them ok, but 343 industries must know how they could affect to the gameplay.
SOUND: I haven’t played the game but I think there are a lot of noises added in this game, they make it more realistic? probably, but I don’t think it matters if it’s realistic or not, I just want to have fun playing it and sound is just a source to know where the action is happening and to know from what position is the enemy shooting at you.
I just wanted to post this because I love Halo and I want Halo 4 be an awesome game for everyone.

Instant Respawn - Isn’t in the entire game, it is gametype specific.
Grenade Indicator - The way 343 has designed the h.u.d. U.I. is simple and ingenious. It makes perfect sense because it allows you to know if there’s a grenade in your vicinity.
Weapon/Equipment Drop - Again, Ordnance Drops isn’t in the entire game, it is gametype specific. Otherwise, power weapons will spawn similar to how they have in the past.
Armor Abilities - 343 has designed the game with them in mind.
I doubt they just said, " hey toss in Ordnance drop to sell more copies." I just think your saying that out of frustration. This is their view for a new Halo, deal with it; this isn’t Bungie’s game. If you weren’t so mad bro, you’d see that the ordnance drops works similarly to the classic way of how weapons used to drop. No, I’m not talking about personal ordinance drop, as that’s a playlist exclusive.
Grenade indicator, agree that it isn’t needed, but that’s definitely the least of my worries.
Sounds: They are great, and what you brought up was said exactly the same way from that mlg guy. Too many noises, I just disagree.
The Spawning: Multiple mlg players have said that they like the spawning system. You can spawn on your teammate. This also gives you time for loadout editing. I forget, but someone said they had yet to have a bad spawn.
So in general, things can sound bad on paper, but you’ll have to play it for yourself to know at least your truth.
