I don't like gaming. But still love Halo!

I absolutely love Halo.
However, I grew out of gaming when I was about 14-15. I’m terrible at Halo multiplayer, and I’m only bothered playing the campaigns on normal, just for the story. Otherwise, I stick to the novels, comics, movies & online forums. In fact, now that I’m overseas, I’ll probably just stream the Halo Wars: 2 cutscenes on YouTube 1080P 60fps.
My question is, can I consider myself a true Halo fan anymore? Because Halo is a video game at it’s core.
Is there anyone else out there like me?

Do you like Halo? Do you consider yourself a fan of Halo? If you answered yes to these questions you are a ‘true’ halo fan. Not that the term has any real meaning.

I’ve asked myself that before and honestly there is no such thing as a true Halo fan.
It doesn’t matter if you love the lore or the gameplay. The moment you like it it becomes your own personal “thing” which you and you only can influence. If you have a bad day and reading, playing, listening or seeing Halo makes you fell happy than you are a “true” fan.
