I dont have Halo 4, yet.

And I am jealous of everyone who does. This is the first time I haven’t gotten a Halo game on its release date since the original Halo for original Xbox.

i would hold off for afew days or a week and let 343i deal with some of the problems casue halo 4 is jacked up

It’s not that bad. My only problem is forging is as good as reach/halo3. The gameplay is great, not over-run with dmr spam.

I know many people who have gotta hang fire until either pay day or even Christmas to get there hands on Halo 4.
So don’t worry, You’re not alone.

I retrack my previous statement, it’s not great but it’s not terrible either.

Dude, the multiplayer a serious mess. The campaign is absolutely amazing though, but online is pretty bad.

I thought about purchasing Halo 4 right away, but most of my friends were sticking with Reach (for various reasons). Ultimately I ended up rented it for a few days, so that I could give the game a test drive. Sadly, I didn’t have time to try out the online multiplayer experience.

But I found the solo campaign enjoyable. My experience with the local co-op afterwards was less enjoyable than the one I had in Halo Reach though. By far, I loved the Spartan Ops missions most of all. I found myself playing that multiple times before returning the game.

I have no doubt that I will be purchasing the game in a few weeks. Hopefully, I will see you all online sometime.

=d

It isn’t that great. The first week seems like it is good but it wears off. I already turned back the game. If you like custom loadouts, point streaks, and broken multiplayer Halo 4 is for you.

It seems that I am done with Halo. I swore to myself that if Halo ever had custom loadouts and a point or kill streak system I will stop playing them. Seems like Halo 4 did it. The campaign isn’t really that fun and seems to me a weird fanfiction. Honestly they took the pelican mission and seemed like it tried to copy New Alexandra but was worse. Copied star wars, too. That flying space mission was worse than LNOS only because you never got to dogfight anything. The ai are dumber, too.

Amazing? Hardly.

Dude you seriously don’t want to get Halo 4. It’s really bad. But I know of course you will because everyone wants to know what happened to Chief. The game is really bad though. And I’m not just talking about the Multiplayer. There’s no forge world, no Arbiter which really ticks me off, no firefight which makes me so mad with 343i, Spartan Ops missions are really short and easy, and the campaign is just god awful. I say this, your better off not knowing what happens and save your 60 bucks for something useful.

OMFG! Finally someone that thinks the same way of the game as I do! You sir are awesome.

Trust me you’re not missing much. The campaign for one, when I got it I did it coop on legendary first time through. On heroic coop it’s waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier but there are a great number of details which make it not fun to play. For one thing there are no funny voices for the covenant. I tried it with IWHBYD on and not even the marines said something the slightest bit witty or out of the ordinary. Promethean knights while a refreshing break from covvies, on legendary it’s not fun to fight them. You take down their shields and they teleport away, their watchers grab grenades you toss and hurl them back at you, and further into the game you’re going to spend entire days per level with the number of Incendiary cannon totting knights. It’s harder than reach legendary, but at least reach legendary was fun, halo 4 leg is not.

The multiplayer has been somewhat of a let down. In the first week of release I tried Flood. It looks and sounds cool, but it’s just as bad as reach living dead, and in some ways worse - the game I played people already found ways to fall through the map making it impossible to kill the last man standing. When you start out in war games if you are rank 1 then you have a hilariously pathetic chance to match people with full loadouts. You start with assault rifle and magnum as default loadout, no AA, no tactical package or support mod. Swat is better in halo 4, it’ll be great if it stays. I’ve heard nothing but bad news for snipers in h4, and my fav playlist is not there - multi team.

Spartan ops is a complete joke too, it’s nothing but betrayals if you play coop with random people. It’s the same as reach firefight but you don’t get as many enemies and it’s harder to survive. If you play spartan Ops on legendary solo it’s very fun that way, but imagine getting run over by someone in a vehicle in reach firefight - that’s what every game is like in halo 4. Oh and halo 4 has jackal snipers which can 1 shot you and are even harder to see than they were in halo 2 or 3.

Infinity big team slayer (btb) is a lot of fun, but team slayer, living dead, king of the hill the ones I’ve played, they’re inferior to reach’s. I might actually play reach again unless game wait times are too long.

So far the only redeemable quality in halo 4 is spartan ops but like I said that’s only if you play solo. Achievements are lame and glitchy, the last mission is very remincent of STAR WARS, and the story is too mushy for halo.
