I don’t find it overpowered at all, and the BR beats it in most situations IMO. I use the BR mainly and the DMR is in my second loadout, the 3 burst shot of the br makes it more convenient for me when I’m being double teamed. And sweep killing is so beast. The DMR’s single shot is to slow and boring for me as well and I don’t find it all the powerful, but give me a BR and I destroy every DMR player I’ve gone against.
I actually find that Carbine trumps DMR almost every time.
I wouldn’t mind a slightly slower fire rate on the DMR, but it’s not nearly as unbalanced as I though it would be. I usually choose the BR or carbine over the DMR, anyway. The DMR is reserved for Ragnarok and the likes.

Well, let’s be honest… it’s a Designated Marksman Rifle. It’s supposed to have range and pin point precision. However, because of the heavy aim assist, it’s too easy to use. Unless you’re trying to miss your shots, you just can’t miss! If they turned down aim assist and left the DMR as-is, the complaints about the DMR being overpowered will die down.
Again, the problem isn’t the DMR’s ROF, Range, or Damage. The heavy aim assist just allows it to be easily used.
It needs a slower rate of fire.
I dont get why people are crying. I pick the Battle Rifle in almost all situations and do fine. Complex kind of requires the dmr tho. I admit that. But that is the maps fault. Any map that gives accessible cover to you is fine to use other utility weapons.
i find the DMR has a lot stronger aim assist and better hit detection when killing people.
it’s simply easier to 5 shot with the BR compared to the DMR because of the 3 burst, and the ability to swipe. The BR is also a better clean up weapon because it bleeds through shields. Frankie even said that the DMR should straight up beat the BR if both people have perfect aim.
