Unlike its predecessor, it optimizes a Spartan for the operation and control of vehicles.

it was switched in an office and they just rolled with it.

The problem i see within this new concept taht the unsc is building up to is to have specilist for everything. In a peace time this is possible cause the supplie ways can stay open. But in a war, and a warzone, a spartan 4 can easily get traped. And then? A stinger wearing spartan 4 will have by far more trouble to fight for surival then a spartan with all round armor.

> You’re talking about an individual Spartan here which back in the days of pre-reach, it would happen, but there’s more Spartan 4’s on the field than there was 3s, while that stinger is on the ground, he’s still armed, and has a better shielding and reactor than the older models, and much better comm’s equipment.
> The armour of Spartan 4’s is much higher tech than those of the 2’s and 3’s, The point I’m making is, no matter what specification of Gen 1 Mjolnir is in the field, it won’t out perform a gen 2 of most specifications.
> And while your Spartan 2 is getting overwhelmed, a group of Spartan 4’s will have been diverted to the stinger, Your Spartan 2 wouldn’t have such a luxury.
> Looks? yes, Gen 1 takes the cake.
> But for actual viability? Id rather be in the -Yoink!- in Gen 2 than the flimsier gen 1 Mjolnir’s.
I would not be so sure if the gen 2 tech is always better than gen 1. I mean the energy module in the protector armor is slimed down, than it was intended while the production. The stinger armor is the lightes, with the lightes armor plating. The gen 1 armors are more error resistant. The chalanger armor is needing always backup checks and far more maintance. This is a gen 2 armor.
I mean there is a hell of flaw with gen 1 systems. The amount of concntration, adatation and augmentation is by far higher than what a gen 2 suite needs. The gen 1 suite could not be scaled down in their responsivenes. second gen has this feature.
