I don't enjoy this game anymore

Is it just me? Or does this game feel more like a chore instead of actual fun?

Week by week i feel less motivated by doing the challenges and there’s nothing else to pursue or work for in the game, not to mention they’re going to reset ranked.

It’s become pretty frustrating to try and get ONE AR coating when the final challenge solely depends on luck, that and the fact that challenges encourage people to play slayer in objective gametypes.

I play for fun, but the game has become not fun for me, i decided i’m going to leave the game and maybe come back in may if forge comes out, otherwise, horizon forbidden west looks pretty dang good.

Do any of you feel inclined to stop playing as of yet?

I have to agree, lately I’ve been playing a lot of R6s and as sweaty as that game can be it’s still more fun than H inf.

Take a break for a few days or few weeks. Ask yourself if you really want, need or will even use the skins that you unlock if you complete the associated challenges. I might finish the weekly’s just to get Tenrai maxed out as far as I can but there’s no way I’ll be grinding the ultimate for a blue AR skin that I know I’ll never use. A change of mindset and playing habits may help make you enjoy playing the game.

Yeah but those challenges are still trying to be completed by many others, which of course, affecting my online games. The focus changes and there’s no incentive for teamwork when everyone’s fighting to do the same thing. I just hope it changes next season

I stopped a couple weeks back mainly because how boring the game is with the major lack of content.

It’s so stupid how some players believe because 343 changes what weapons are use in any given map that “it’s adding content to the game”. No people, adding content to a game would be new maps, forge world, firefight, etc… And since 343 hasn’t done that, that is why the game feels like a chore. They offered nothing to the player base other than a lame shop and challenges.

Is this all 343 has to show for themselves, because I’m not impressed with a company showing how lazy they actually are.

At the moment I still find it easy and rather enjoyable to complete the Challenges. The gameplay is fun, and having something to work for does help in me continue to play and enjoy it.

However, I do admit that as soon as the Challenges are over, I stop playing and spend my time with other games like Deep Rock Galactic. It keeps me from experiencing burnout which can be a real danger with this game in particular due to its content and once the Challenges reset I’m ready and raring to go again.

The past few weeks also starting a new event (Cyber Showdown, Tenrai, and now Tactical Ops) also helps with that.

At the moment though I am playing a bit more of BTB now that that seems to be fixed and trying to see if there are any issues concerning it. At the moment, I am experiencing an occasional crash so I’m uninstalling and reinstalling the game on my Series X to see if that fixes it as it did before when I last experienced a crash and then was free of it for months until now.

Same here. I didnt grind a few weekly rewards because it was not worth playing gamemodes that i dont like.

Part of me was enjoying it, but now it feels more like I’m repeatedly banging my head against a wall for no real reason. Monetization is continually a malignant tumor, SBMM in social is becoming annoying on account of how sweaty matches tend to get, randomized pick ups and vehicles ruin BTB, and on top of that it’s repetitive.

I think I’ll log in for events, because fomo, but I’d be lying if I said I enjoyed being forced to play modes that I hate. Having just wrapped up Elimination SWAT is next. Outside of team snipers those are my most hated modes, yet I’ll need to grind out oddly specific challenges in them to progress, because that’ll definitely make me want to willingly play the game again.

Without Forge, or customs this game is on borrowed time.

The games a chore mostly because of desync in my opinion. But the rank reset and not having anything to work for definitely makes it difficult to come back day after day.

Unfortunately forge won’t be out till September at the earliest.

I’m the same. I almost never play anymore but I did go on yesterday for a few hours. Every challenge bar the final one is done but, I didn’t enjoy it even for a second. It felt like 4 more hours of work after I got finished with my real work.

There’s just nothing else to play for my FPS itch at the moment.

I agree. I feel that I wasted money on the campaign because all the challenges are in multiplayer. I usually try to get the weekly ultimate and it takes a lot of time. They should make weekly challenges for pve that provide rewards.

I’ve been playing ever since BTB got fixed but desync and other issues just make the game unfun. I would play MCC all day every day if not for the fact that it’s hard to get a match out of prime time.

Sadly I agree.

The ultimate reward is the only thing keeping me playing at the moment, but the challenge system needed to unlock it so unenjoyable that I’m glad when it’s finally over each week but also burnt out so that I don’t want to play again until the following weekly reset.

Very disappointing after I was looking forward to the game so much.

Can’t even replay campaign missions without restarting and wiping all progress.

Thats one of my main points why i stopped playing MP since 1 week.
Ranked has too many issues, so i dont be back until its improved.
Im a SR 152 in halo 5. I liked playing warzone and objectives. None of them available soon.

I want the Kabuto helmet so I keep playing, but yeah I’m about to leave because these challenges suck

im about there myself as well, it feels like a chore with these challenges, boring events, and lack of playlists on top. Im looking at other games, i recently bought god of war, and horizon zero from, im having fun with those.

I’m genuinely enjoying the campaign and story.

However, I found the lack of multiplayer and co-op content, previously available at launch for past tiles, to be very disappointing, and would rather have waited another year for the game to launch, than to launch without the game modes and content we’ve come to expect. The overall UI is designed poorly, which is also annoying, but not a deal breaker.

The monetization and customization systems are egregious. This season is Heroes of Reach, and the armor coating rewards from the recent Cyber event aren’t applicable to the Mark V [B] armor—c’mon, that’s just ridiculous. The bundle pricing of $10 for 8-9 items seems reasonable, but $4 for a single visor is a ripoff. Armor emblems covered by certain chest pieces is poor and lazy game development.

The challenge system too often promotes gameplay that’s counter to the objectives or promotes poor sportsmanship. This week’s weekly challenge (5 killjoys in Fiesta) is the worst offender so far. It’s almost completely out of your control and not dependent on how you are playing, but rather on how every other person on both teams is playing; it promotes letting the other team kill you and not assisting your teammates. This type of “challenge” is unacceptable.

This isn’t new to Halo Infinite, but with each release since Halo 3, it’s more difficult to meet other players in game. Halo 5 at least had Spartan Companies, but there’s little mechanics in Infinite for teaming up and meeting others.

I’m ready to call it quits for a while. I’m just not enjoying the game enough, and there’s many great games available on Game Pass that are entertaining and more worth investing my time.

I played it like one or two nights and got bored of it real fast, it all felt the same, nothing like older games where each match was fun. BTB sucks cause of the random vehicles that drop instead of it being set up for certain vehicles and weapons.

I’m right there with you @I_El_Arqui_I

I stopped a couple of weeks ago. Haven’t even been tempted to come back since. We’ll see. Hopefully they’ll make some improvements to make it worthwhile to come back.

Just got to level 100. I didn’t buy the battle pass nor do I buy any cosmetics from the store. The game is simply not fun. The lack of a community focus along with no long term XP progression goals will be the death knell for this game. I played a lot of Halo 5 to help meet company commendations but with this game why bother…
