I honestly haven’t had a single ounce of fun in ages in Halo 5 but I can’t stop playing, I think I’m just desperately waiting telling myself it’s gonna get better? I duno… And I know like an idiot I’m gonna buy Halo 6 and the same thing is gonna happen again but there is no other game out there that can fill the shoes of my previous enjoyment from Halo 1-3.
maybe you subconsciously do enjoy but you have a few things against the game that block that actual feeling. For example there are a few decisions that you dislike but actually make the game better without you knowing. Otherwise there are either no other games out there, you have become too desensitised to video games or you are just completely insane. Its like someone putting a cockroach in your ice cream but that cockroach is healthy and makes it taste nice. You would never eat it but why?

I tend to get very frustrated with this Halo unlike any past Halo game, and I find myself questioning why I keep playing it. It feels like literally nothing goes my way in this game and I feel like most deaths aren’t even my fault (spawn, walk forward, millions of grenades blow me up, for example). I think the only reason I keep playing this game is, despite knowing I’m gonna have the worst luck imaginable every game, I want desperately to have the kind of fun I expect to have in a Halo game, and I’m disappointed by the way things turn out every game
While bad luck is the reason I can’t have fun in this game, there are a lot of bad choices I feel 343 made with this game, such as charge, ground pound, lack of content, terrible story, ect. I’ve tried my hardest to love this game, but I honestly find myself trying to force myself not to give up on this game for good every time I play. I really hope Halo 6 delivers the fun I wish I could have in Halo 5
I was like you, but then I realized that I literally HATE halo 5 and it’s damn BS deaths so I am probably done for good unless one of the new updates adds Infection or fixes the cod like lag issues. Halo 5 is a better designed game than Halo 4 and probably Halo Reach, but it plays like garbage due to the server lag comp and REQ system.
There is plenty of games I dislike certain mechanics in but I can still enjoy th em where as I just feel bored and disappointed with this one.

If you keep getting pissed, frustrated, annoyed repeatedly its time to drop the game and move on. Keep it if you like forging/customs a lot in this game if not then derp.
The gameplay in its core is great. Its good. Dont listen to those anti sprint faghotsz. Weapons are balanced and i think its the first Halo or even the first game that got the weapons so perfectly balanced. Of course… there are some minor tweaks needed, like the bullet magnism of the sniper and shoulder charge, but not to major/ big.
Here its where the game fails at…:

User Interface → Not able to see other spartans in pre game lobby, Not able to check your medals ingame, no MVP, No who killed who the most etc. Not able to fine tune your spartan or to see the stances in lobby etc.
I think the underestemated the the feel the UI gives to a player. -

Reward for commedations. Now all the reward is based on luck. It should be at least be a mix between armor from luck and armor from skill and commedations.

Honestly don’t get stuck I just found out my next best thing was just a waste of time, literally plenty of other games out there waiting. By the looks of it Halo 5 won’t last long either by the time everything gets rolled out there would be new games released there’s too many experiences to explore to be just stuck on one that doesn’t have you smiling while you die or even lose. If you can’t have fun win or lose and stressed over a game its time to make that decision.

There’s Halo customs and for Forge, Forgehub plenty of people that test maps and play plenty of customs I get quite a few spammed invites :l
I’m finding my main source of frustration comes from just how little you walk away with after some of the worst matches of all time.
The game bombards you with the most cheap tactics you have ever experienced in a Halo game, and just when you think there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that this time things will be different and the REQ system has something special in store for you, you open another silver pack and out pops two lousy emblems.
It becomes Main Menu Simulator 5 at that point because 9 times out of 10 I refuse to go back and grind for something better. I’m too drained.

Remember when emblems were unlocked by default and armor was unlocked by playing the campaign and unlocking every achievement to get the special armor.
You know a goal to do, now its just grinding to get something oh they have armor that’s unlockable thru spartan companies but how active are those spartan companies to even obtain it. Halo is a fps not a RPG why the hell am I grinding in Halo.
I like Halo 5 and Play it bacause of fun
