I don't care what anyone says...

…I still love halo and 343. You guys rock, keep up the hard work on what will be my favorite game ever!

but what if 343 is live?

Yes, because charging people full price for something they knew was unfinished is very noble, OP.
Why didn’t they tell us it wasn’t working properly before we gave them our money? The answer to this question is the problem.
343 are working hard to bring the game up to the level that was advertised when we gave them our money… and people are suggesting we should be grateful? In your opinion, Is this really a favour?

is telling them they suck and that they should all be fired like the rest of the children on here really the best way to encourage them to fix it?

So Microsoft? They’re in charge of marketing and what is allowed to be said, if you think even for a second that 343i would be allowed to say there were significant issues with the game, you really need to learn how the world works.

Aside from that, they were in fact not aware of the multiplayer issues until launch.

All I know is that they just need to fix the checkpoints not saving progress and half the time crashing the game and I will be content.

When you say hard work, what do you exactly mean?!

Hmm, am I grateful that they released the exact game I’ve been dreaming of for years and years now? Yup. Does waiting a week and a half for a matchmaking update matter at all to me in the grand scheme of that? No, not particularly.

I suppose you could argue that the release should have been delayed a week and a half (although that’s not really down to 343) but then you could also argue that if that’s your viewpoint you could just stick the game on your shelf for a week and a half and pretend it was.

I think they worked hard on this game. it just messed up right now. I really don’t think 343 would try to make a lazy halo title when trying to sale halo 5 next year.

Dude, they didn’t work hard on this game. The game already had source code. Oh and answer this, why do Halo CEA plays worse on XB1 then it does on the 360? I mean geez, I got credit for beating 343 Guilty Sparks, without even playing it, then got advanced to The Library. Also can’t forget that plasma nades don’t stick. Yeah, they’re hard at work alright… Don’t be a blind mouse dude!

Okay you try porting something optimized for a console with different architecture and optimizing it for 1080p 60 fps if it is so easy.

If the way it worked was that if the game already existed it was piss easy to port then every game previous platforms would get ported to each new platform to make very very easy money for no work. All three Xbox consoles work differently, especially the Xbox One compared to the other two in terms of software, hardware and just the way you have to code the game, not to mention the fact that 343 have never made a game for the original Xbox where half the games came from (although some members may have been in Bungie at the time?) and the fact that 343 have never made a proper game for the Xbox One either, which has a big impact. Then there’s the effort of updating the Halo 2 engine and remastering some multiplayer maps, remastering the entire Halo 2 campaign and the excellent CG cutscenes by Blur, updating and optimising the original games whilst keeping them intact for consoles they were not optimised or designed for and creating a unified UI for it all to move seamlessly between all the features - all whilst also probably being pressured by MS to have it out by a specific deadline.

Ports are not simple or easy. If they were they’d be a dime a dozen, and even the ones that are ported - even to similar platforms - are often filled with bugs initially.

Exactly, dude. This game is PERFECT! The multiplayer is sooooo fun!

LoL, don’t change the subject. But I’ll tell you what, I work in IT, and I take pride in my work. If I was to blah blah, console, blah optimize, blah if it is so easy. My -Yoink!- would be done right. I don’t know what planet you’re from, but usually people who run a business aim to please…

except I didn’t change the subject and oh cool you work in IT. Do you know what that means? You probably know zero things about coding gaming software so I doubt you know the amount of effort required to make one or even remaster one game while optimizing 3 others meaning you shouldn’t act like you know what’s going on…

The fanboys are real.

Since I hear crickets, and my gf is fast asleep. I guess I’ll go play some Halo CEA. Hey, maybe that Halo: CE Complete The Pillar of Autumn achievement will Finally unlock for me! Figures crossed!!!
