I don't care what anyone says anymore!

I hated not having join in progress, I don’t care if you think it “ruined halo”. It didnt, as a matter of fact, it made halo 50x better. I.dont care if you get put into a game with a losing team, that’s better then being alone in a game.

Being left alone facing 4 guys alone, is hard. It was ok if like one person left, but when your entire team left, THAT, was annoying. I’m so glad 343 implemented join in progress in halo 4, and happy it will be forever a part of halo. Does anyone else agree?? Dis you enjoy being left alone taking on 4 to 8 people alone? Especially when they have all the power weapons because they have the advantage?

Again, thank you 343 for implementing this! It’s one of the best things you’ve done for halo. Thank you so much.

Actually, sometimes it was fun playing 1 vs 4 in previous Halo games.

If you won, you felt like a champ.

If you lost, it was because you were facing 4 guys alone, that’s the excuse.

IMO, JOP does NOT belong in a Halo game and it is one of the multiple things I dislike about Halo 4.

It’s useful for replacing players that either quit before the match starts or within the first few seconds of the game, but beyond that it should be turned off.

ABSOLUTELY THIS!!

I like a Join in Progress that either adds people within the first 1-2 minutes of the game, or maybe as long as the winning team is still under 25% of the required score to win (like <250 in a 1000 BTB game) - whichever comes first.

The times I get frustrated with JiP are when I join a BTB game when the score is something ridiculous like 600-200 or in CTF when it’s something stupid like 4-1 already. And I never am joining the team in the lead haha.

I agree for the beginning part of the game it’s okay. I just don’t like it because it would almost always put you on the losing team with the worst teammates.

That is because the people on the losing team have a greater reason to rage quit. It is extremely rare to join a game in progress and land on the team with the lead.

This should not happen any more since the latest update. I havent joined a game where the score has been beyond 50% & they have been close games.
I hate JiP but understand why it is here.

Please don’t speak or tell me what is good for me. In past Halo games if I was the last person on my team, know what I did? I just quit out and started another game. It isn’t difficult.

No…so then I would quit and play a different match.

> Especially when they have all the power weapons because they have the advantage?

Look. if anyone stays when they are the last one of their teams and the enemy is loaded with power weapons and such, you’d have to be a fool or stubborn to stick around. Also, even with JiP, this STILL happens. Nothing is better than joining a losing team and getting your -Yoink- kicked even harder right off the bat.

Disagree. You’re biased poll is rather weak too.

I like JiP, but I use the network trick, so I never actually join any games in progress.

Teach me great master.

its annoying if you are gonna kill someone then someone joins and makes the game reconnect

I have to say I agree. It is torturous in big team with about 2 guys on your team being killed over and over.

I like Join in Progress. Doesn’t make it seem like a daunting task to win when my team mates quit the game in the the first 5 minutes. Also kudos to the second option on the poll because it describes Waypoint in a way haha.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFB5SlKAqIE Here you go buddy

It’s not that I hate it, in fact recently I’ve only been joining games where the scores are pretty equal, they should have an option to turn JiP off though

You can tell when you are going to join a game in progress when you can see all the players names and pictures on the playing cards instead of a Spartan silhouette that says loading. Quickly press start and then go over to the network tab on the right. Switch from XBox live to anything else and back again.

You are now free to restart your search.

In theory it is good.

In execution it is horrible.

The connection issues it causes in games, and the long pauses at scorescreens kill the flow of the game.

I remember when I was at NYCC. H4 seemed a lot more fun with a 2 hour wait on a line, and I feel the primary reason for that was that it was on a stable network and there was no JIP causing the matches to stop mid match and kill the flow of the game.

And yes, there is a way to get out of JIP. But I am pretty sure that those long waits, are in part caused by the go around for JiP, As you can see the names add and drop at the scorescreen, before people get into the game to quit out.

System should have been tested better and not “shoehorned” in.

On this issue, I’m a bit allover the place.

First, I personally hate JIP when it is me that has to JIP. I appreciate the fact there are two methods for avoiding JIP.

Secondly, if I’m already in a game, I actually like there being JIP on the basis of the points made by the OP. I just don’t like being forced to JIP myself.

Thirdly, I’d feel better if there was an official “button/option” to turn off JIP in future Halo.

I hate it and always will. I never had a problem with quitter teammates. I’ve won plenty of matches being down multiple teammates. If they can’t kill you it only makes you better and a bigger threat when the odds are stacked against you.

JIP is and forever will be lame.

I am not taking the op’s poll either. It’s biased and no one tells me what I should have to like in a Halo game. JIP sucks plain and simple.

I dont like jip at all. Joining in a game just to get my -Yoink- kicked because the other team has complete and utterly dominated my team. Or I jip into the laggiest match ever no thanks.

I never minded teammates qutting in previous games. Hell some of my best matches from previous games is when my team was down a man or two. Then if it got to the point where I was the only one left I did the only logical thing and left the game myself.

Oh and biased poll is biased great job.
