I hope you’re wrong, but of course, there’s always that possibility. I just think they’ve got too much to do right now, and it’s gonna take some time. It’s honestly best, for us though, to not hold our breath, cause it’s agonizing. And ya know, breathing is helpful for living
Halo 4 was actually a full release, yet it had Forge and Forge Canvases Day 1. Halo 4 was their only title to launch content complete.
Agreed. They keep saying “we’re looking at it” but there’s been no concrete response on the matter of predatory and aggressive monetisation.
While there’s a lot to love about Halo Infinite, there truly is; this game has been clearly designed as a cash cow to be milked.
They call it a “free” multiplayer, but then ask full price for the campaign, despite missing co-op and forge. I don’t think 343 has ever released a completed, at launch, Halo game. Halo 4 was close.
What’s worse is they’ve taken away things that used to be free out of the box, armour choices, progression systems that reward a players time, emblems to name a few.
I’ve been playing Halo since the original as a kid on the OG Xbox, and I think 343 has squandered the IP in favour of profits.
Like I said steam is around 23 percent of the player base. I play on PC and haven’t had much of an issue but I have a nicer build. Weather we want to believe it or not, the player base isn’t shrinking out of the ordinary and is seeing spikes around event at a normal level. I cancelled my preorder for 2042 because is was that bad, the new cod has more bugs that affect core gameplay. Gotta remember the people complaining online are likely the loud minority.
And yet publisher after publisher seems to release games in a biggie state. Do you think that could be due to the increasing complexity of games and the inability to test at scale?
Yes, there are only a few people who complain in the community, and most of them leave directly.
After the game can start successfully, infinite is really not a big problem, but many problems make the game unable to start BTB collapse directly, a lot of 3v4 matches,On the HCS, they couldn’t even start the game because of the AMD video card problem and switched to the XSX development machine.
Are you going to ignore these too?
The core play is much better. I agree with you.
But the various mistakes and functions of the game make me very disgusting, if I don’t play the rank play, I will feel this very good, but people will find these problems after in-depth study.
To be honest, I envy your optimism, which is a healthy attitude.
But I am not optimistic about 343’s attitude towards the drop line and the ranking mechanism.
My pass is 95, soon I will AFK, next season or a year later we will see if the game is as healthy as you said, or the same as h4h5.
Keep in mind that according to 343i declaration this is a FTB service game, and from the service we received it was definitely bad.
honestly, how much do you wanna bet they delayed everything is because they realized “oh we dont even have the bare minimum” and then gave us the bare minimum at the launch
The game has issues that need to be addressed. Non that have been a deal breaker for me. Thier are cheaters in ranked at onyx especially but as far as I can tell it’s only a few people, or at least I see the same people being complained about. HCS issues are a wider issue with custom game, which is a problem but I also spend less of my time their. But it is not a signal that this game is loosing population at a rate it’ll have next to no one. Steam chart help give insight but when comparing the same rate of player decrease from H3, Reach and H4, you see it’s not too dissimilar especially considering all the competition.
I was too young to have an xbox console when H3 was released, so I don’t know what the situation was like.
But the PVP of REACH and H4 has received great criticism, especially the PVP of H4 is a disaster.
If their situation is regarded as normal, there is really nothing to discuss.
343 Hope “Infinite” is a generation that unites all players and has made FTB online games, hoping to attract new players. When it was first released, they did it .
Because of the name of halo and freeplay, as well as Microsoft’s publicity.
But longer i played, the more I suspect that they are because the progress can’t just reach the game to change the game to FTB, so they can avoid the dilemma of 2077 2042, so they can make money with semi-finished products openly.
Judging from the attitude of the current 343 operation and the series of lies before the release, PVP is likely to develop like H4H5 again.
Yep. Whales will be whales.
There will always be someone who doesn’t care about the politics of it all and will happily swipe a credit card.
I really enjoyed Halo 4. I wasn’t there for the 360 launch but got it on MCC for PC. Can’t say anthing bad about it.
Maybe, it all depends on how they handle this content drought. You can find historical data of H3 player counts, and the point I’m trying to make is they all fell at the same rate 2 months after launch. All games do once the hype wares down and the core player base settles in. I would imagine most games follow the same curve after launch with a few exceptions. And some games, like in Fortnights case, have a less than stellar launch and then release something that keep a larger active player base.
Honestly they won’t see it as a problem unless it becomes a financial threat, they are desperate for money, ots the only logical conclusion I can come to after realizing they are trying to sell us the 50 default colors they didn’t give us, that we had in Halo 5. 60 total and they just gave us 10
They are starting to become the next Activision, like no one expects Anything highly of them just a FPS that’s a copy of the last with a few new gimmicks and slightly updated graphics, lag, hit registration fails, and hacks are expected
If the game is complete or the ranking system is mature, I think I’m the one who will pay, although they have gone too far in pricing and customization, the good thing is that STEAM has a low price area to use.
Now I just want to finish the pass and leave the game early.
In PVP, I can say that 343 have made all the mistakes of disgusting people.
Everything but the core gameplay is a disaster.
It’s like they don’t even know how to make money.
I don’t know whether they are too arrogant or there have too many loyal money spenders.
Even if there are low-cost channels, I don’t want to spend money for them. It’s meaningless to spend money in a game that I’m tired of playing and don’t want to play.
And their skins in other merchandising activities are much better than their skins in in-game stores.like RockStars and HCS.
So their behavior and attitude really baffles me. They are greedy to sell the same color while putting better decorations elsewhere than in the store.
Anyway I think I have to stay away from this game for a while, I will find more happiness in MCC or apex
My biggest advice that I could give moving forward is, everyone just step away from the game till it’s fixed. They got just under 10 years to fix it according to their ‘10 Year Plan’
At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if they are thinking of ways to monetize Forge when it’s eventually released
I got OG H4 midnight release, honestly people here overhate Halo 4, it’s really not a bad Halo game by any means.
The lamest part of those cuts is that they will likely be sold to us later. Even though the campaign is so lacking in content, we’ll probably have to wait a year to get the content they cut from this campaign, for another $60
