I have to be honest here. While I think the game will probably improve from a technical standpoint (desync, glitches, anti cheat etc) I honestly don’t think much is going to change from a content standpoint. 343 and, by proxy, Microsoft, have already shown what they really care about is milking the community for as much money as possible. Just don’t hold your breath on any real improvements to the micro transaction system, customization, map selection, game modes, etc. in the next several months.

The shop and battle pass for sure won’t be changing much. My only hope is that eventually we get access to discounted prices on old stuff.

It’s actually sad they went this route.
They sat there over the years feeding all this BS getting players hopes up, only to find out that their main concern is to take advantage of their player base.
By the way, when I said they, I meant the higher-ups that don’t give a crap about creating a decent game, let alone have the balls to even play their own game.

Some of the more ‘controversial’ ones (like better store pricing) need corporate approval, and I just don’t see that happening. The store is a huge turnoff for me, and I don’t think the prices are fair. I’m really bothered by the lack of ‘universal’ coating colors and armor attachments that should work on everything. Like, why do I want to buy a really cool weapon coating pattern for one weapon, when I can’t apply it to all of my weapons? Splitting up colors or not offering the same color for all weapons can drive ‘OCD’ people up a wall!
I remember a post on ‘Reddit’ that showed what the original store prices were (not sure if it was legitimate) but they were like ‘300-400’ less points for each bundle than the current prices are. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if corporate wanted to charge us $8.00 for the color blue, and the ‘343 Devs’ were powerless to argue with their superiors or the marketing department (speculation on my part).

100% right, it will take upwards of 6-9 months to fix all of these issues. Mark my words that Co-op and Forge will both be delayed and miss their promised time tables. Or… they (especially forge) will be released with limited content and possibly not working at all or with an insane amount of issues and bugs like everything else.

I totally agree. Outside of game performance issue and bug fixes, i think season 2 is the earliest we see new content, games modes, etc. And I think is because they don’t have anything to put out. This game wasn’t finished and now they have to play catch up.

Technical fixes will likely arrive first. Additional game modes might come before the season ends (they seem to have some stuff brewing - the additional slayer lists released ahead of schedule as well).
As for maps I agree that those will likely not arrive before season 2. Coop and forge - I don’t quite see yet why they would delay from their current dates, although if the bugfixes hit the same dev teams they might (don’t see much of an indication for that as of yet). Coop would be the more likely candidate there as it would also involve the team working on the netcode.
As for the other stuff. That’s more up to whether they want to change them or not. So customization changes will really depend on how well the store is doing for them. If they get the feeling that the total return with lower prices will be better than it is now, they will drop. Otherwise it won’t. And to get to that conclusion they will look at the purchase data and not forums.
Looking at progression outside the Battlepass. They said they’d bring something in that regard. But if they really only started that work following the feedback at launch, I doubt it will hit before Season 1 is over.

They of course will add more maps overtime. I’ll be happy if they just add an option in the settings menu to turn off that “juice” sound associated with every single headshot & multi-kill. They’ll also be adding a patch for ray tracing this year I think which will be sweet.
