I don’t blame 343, it’s you the people buying stuff in the store!

You mean to tell me you have been getting Free Xbox Live for any duration of time from 2012 till present day?

No. I had an Xbox 360 since 2012 (no Xbox Live yet) and replaced that 360 with an Xbox One X in December 2019.

This Xbox One X came with Forza Horizon 4, the Lego Speed Champions DLC for FH4, and 1 month of Xbox Live Gold. After that 1 month passed, I didn’t have any more Xbox Live Gold.

So currently as of this moment in time, no, I don’t have Xbox Live and never bought it by itself.

Ahhhhhh… … … … … … … … that is odd.

Ok, so here’s the exact product on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-Forza-Horizon-Champions-Bundle/dp/B07YF1WPP2

And apparently, it came with 1 month of Gamepass for Consoles as well.

A lot of physical copy games do that and give you either 2-days to a month. Some I have heard even give you a year, but that requires you to order something like a special edition from certain retailers.

except… Forza Horizon 4 was digital and not a physical copy. It wasn’t installed, but it was in the Xbox game library when I signed in and everything.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM okay

You know,
This really only suggests to me that you don’t understand the process at 343i.

No amount of complaining, or even Store boycotting would have changed their mind.
They had everything pretty much mapped out over a year in advanced.

The game is in SUCH a bad state that they do not have the power to change the UI, because the engine the game is built on is so utterly crap that if they tried to change anything it would make Half the game modes break.

I honestly do not think any of the core staff at 343i know how any of their subsystems work, because the outsourced TONS of the games core programing to Contracted companies.

Change isn’t coming, even if everyone were to suddenly stop spending any money at the store.
It would be less expensive for them to just scrap infinite entirely, and build a New multiplayer experience.
Than it would be to fix the existing problems.

Don’t need Xbox live when you’re playing from the Steam version of Infinite lmao.

You don’t need XBL to play infinite on Xbox, they don’t charge for a free game……So people think oh I saved money on XBL I’ll spend it on pretty armour……and hey it worked !!!

The inferior version that has people dropping off due to poor PC optimization?

No, out of everything there is to be mad about, I’m not going to be mad about how much money they make because if other people want to support this game, that’s their choice. It’s not a random persons fault that Halo infinite launched without “X” or with “X”.

They do want profit though, and with more players comes higher revenue, for a company so many people say are driven by greed, this would be an enticing reason for them to make things better.

Gonna direct you to the point above. Also, it’s a live service game that they wanted 10 years out of, things will change, things are already changing. Granted, some of these changes we should have started with (forge, coop), but I’m sure down the line we’ll get more exciting stuff and more meaningful than reduced store prices.

I’m willing to gamble that 343i has learned something and IF they make another Halo game, it won’t be as botched as this, and if it is, well, at least I was there for infinite, as I won’t be doing this again.

Pretty sure most businesses are driven by profit. Last time I checked it’s why they exist… to make money.

Well done that’s what I am saying.
Many people feel that for 343 Halo should be a labour of love.

It’s not, all it is is a series of dots coded to move and respond in a pre determined way based on the input received from your device, with the sole aim of extracting cash.
Unfortunately some people do not realise this.

It’s quite likely that the number of store purchases is strongly correlated to the number of people playing the game. So when players leave (which they do and did) it affects their bottom line and therefore creates urgency to implement necessary changes.

What we are discussing here is if they feel enough pain yet to work on it with the highest priority or if we need to push them harder. Personally I think they are feeling the pain already but change does take time. However I understand that some might come to a different conclusion.

Another aspect of course is that if revenue falls too much, the powers that be might just decide to cut their losses and just turn the whole thing off instead of fixing it. It’s something we have seen happen to quite a lot of “Live Service” games over the last 2 years.

I spent 60$ on the game and thats where I cap out

Thats what I would have payed for a traditional game, not a free to play. Im ok with spending this amount

I’m buying everything in the store just for you. :kissing_heart:

100% on board with your point.

This weeks event changes nothing, Fiesta oddball would have been nice but its back to standard Tenurai, heck its still just frag grenades instead of random nades as well. Nothing the community has been discussing has been changed with the playlist.

However, I’m willing to bet they make 500k + in the first 24 hours from people throwing money at the dual sword cosmetic item…

As long as they keep making paper, why the heck would they bother to do anything.

Ok

I admit it. I bought the spiffy black+red gun coating set for a sweet 700 pts.
