Am I the only one that feels this way? Sprint changes the way the game is played and how multiplayer works out. The only reason you need Sprint in Reach is because of the slower walking speed.
I’m wondering why you didn’t put this in the thread you have already created about H4.
In reference to your question, I do want Sprint to stay in; and in fact take it a little further. Everyone shoule have the ability to Sprint. I mean we are all Spartans, right? It feels strange when I go back to H3 and I don’t have this ability. My gameplay just doesn’t feel complete without it.

Truth!! Sprint should’ve been a staple to the games controls from Halo 1. Not only do you mention that we are Spartans who are bigger, stronger and faster yet rarely feel like it esp on the MP aspect. Just as well, there (were?) are 2 special loadouts that are aimed at Linda and Kelly from Blue Team (Chief’s official Spartan Team in the Books). One focusing on Sniping (Linda) and the other on Running (Kelly since she’s considered the fastest Spartan).
I don’t mind sprint as much as jetpack, armor lock, and active camo. Also, evade is relatively overpowered as well. But sprint in Halo 4? I wouldn’t mind all that much.

How in the foiliating fudge do you consider Evade “Overpowered”???
It’s a swift dash forward, left, right or backward.
These complaints with little to no reason aside from saying “It’s over/underpowered” are seriously tiresome. There’s no middle ground for anything it seems nowadays. Everyone wants something or other tweaked. Nobody can just play the game anymore.
I hate being a 1st generation gamer. I’m honestly missing the days of 8 bit 2D side scrollers more and more.

It’s overpowered for its purpose. It offers the speed of sprint (sometimes greater depending on the terrain), in any direction, and can be used twice with a quick recharge.

Ah but the difference with sprint is, Sprint can be turned on and off for that limited time. Evade has a simple measuring solution. The evade leap always is the same distance. I learned this little tidbit before they switched up Living Dead. When I played Infection, it was easy to start figuring out where someone was going to land AND the gravity is somewhat longer in Living Dead so it made it somewhat easier to pin down in standard Slayer games.
That’s just me though. As I argue, there’s a counter/solution for every Armor Ability. You just have to take the time and study 'em. Also, they can’t really attack while in evade. I’ve gotten off a good few melee’s to weaken the Evader. Either way, Evade is probably the least used ability I’ve seen next to the Health Bubble.

I like sprint, I love sprint, I want it in Halo 4. It doesn’t change gameplay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I really don’t know what would be better. Maybe make the base walking speed like it was in Halo3 or maybe just a bit faster. The thing I hate about these add ons is it takes so much away. Sprint in Halo Reach made the base slower, and because of jet pack the jump height was taken 2 meters down. I think that sprint should be in Halo4 but don’t kill the base walking speed, since where spartans shouldn’t a spartan(biologically enhanced, technologically enhanced super soldier) be able to run REALLY FREAKING FAST? In Halo4 bring walking speed back up and make sprint a basic trait, BUT make sprint incredibly fast, we are spartans. If that little jog that the SIII’s did in Reach was the best they could do in a war zone then something is wrong. And if jet pack is brought back do the same thing that I said for walking and sprinting only for jumping and jetpacking.

Depends if it works with the game though. I think that there should still be some type of abilities in Halo4 but make it more like the Halo3 equipment system where they are all pick ups and not permanent till you die or through the entire game.

This. And I agree with the OP completely. I can’t wait for the TU to drop. I doubt i’ll ever play vanilla reach again after it does except for invasion.
Sprint needs to be in Halo 4. You always went too slow in halo 3 MM, that was one of many things that turned me off halo 3 MM. Sprint is in every game nowadays and I expect it in halo 4 or I’ll be extremely disappointed.

Halo 1 2 and 3’s gameplay was amazing. It brought in tons of players. Bring back that gameplay please 343. I think Sprint is garbage. It changes halo for me for the worse. I have talked to many other who agree. Some do think that sprint is ok but i have talked to many who feel it’s bad. I’m sure there are many of us (based on other threads, my experiences talking to people online, and multiple other sites with fans stating their hatred of all armor abilities). My opinion - Sprint is garbage. Continue to think as you will Zoidberg. I think sprint is terrible.
Please 343 don’t add sprint or any other AA’s Pickups such as sprint wouldn’t be bad as long as it didn’t last forever. And it shouldn’t last until you die either. Either put a time limit on it or a limit on the number of uses. +
