Every single game I play in Reach, no matter what time of day, I am matched with players from countries other than the USA. Are they now the majority who still play that game or what?
I have seen it all: Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, France, Denmark, United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Australia, Brazil…etc
There has to be a feature in Halo 4 to fix this. Please automatically search for players in my own country, or even give a search filter so I can do it myself. Instead of pointless filters like “my language” put one in that says “my country”. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have nothing against foreigners except for when I have to play with them on their garbage connections on XBL. Even worse is when they are host.
And I am sure people from other countries agree that they don’t to be matched against me.
I live on the east coast of the U.S. and frequently play with buddies from Canada and New Zealand. I’ve never had a connection problem playing with Canadians, and contrary to the norm, I don’t have much of a problem playing with my New Zealand friends either. I mean, there’s noticeably more lagginess, but not game breaking like I’m sure some people in NZ and Australia experience.
Since I’m Brazilian, I do mind playing with foreigners, but thats b/c here we have a poor upload bandwith and ping response, and our bad news is that a minority enjoys Halo, people here likes more guerilla over sci-fi games (no pun intended), and is hard to make a wealthy group of Halo players even to do some custom games.
Besides American players (south, mid or north), It’s hard to beat the lag if the opponents are from another continent.

I live in the Netherlands, I have a good connection, and mostly people in US are lagging when i’m playing
PS: i wouldn’t mind it of course but i don’t think it is needed

Exactly, I live in England and I love playing with Americans, I never have connection problems, it would be a shame if I was confined to just playing with people that i’m familiar with all the time, it would take the fun out of the game a little for me, because most of my friends are either American and Canadian.

Lol, I keep stealing host (for whatever reason!) in co-op campaign and customs and I have no idea why. My internet isn’t THAT great here (at least, I didn’t think so) but apparently it’s better than I thought.
I play with people from all around the world. Most of my friends are in the states, but I also play with people here in Europe and even some Aussies and honestly I don’t encounter THAT much lag. Sure, every now and then there’s a game that makes me yell at my TV but for the most part the connections are actually pretty stable.
Your OP is a little short sighted and ignorant, honestly.
I live in Canada, and I never lag, unless I’m downloading a large file or something. Of course, the Lower Mainland isn’t very far from the US, but still.
