Hello Waypoint forum,

Allow me to add to the clutter of map pack threads by throwing in my own two cents here. I’m going to be super blunt and straightforward about this: I want compensation.

As the title suggests, I do not care that more people are able to enjoy the maps. I am upset that I paid money when I did not have to. It’s the holiday season and I could have simply saved myself the $40 on the LE and bought standard instead.

I have NO problems with the people go got the map pack for free. They simply took advantage of something any sane person would. I’m mad at Microsoft, not the players. I hope you are all enjoying the maps.

I realize there are people who got the LE who do not care either way and are not asking for a refund of any kind. Well, good for them. But that doesn’t mean some of us aren’t upset about this.

Also, the LAST thing I want to see happening is for the issue to be ignored completely because if that happens I promise you I will not buy Halo 5, 6, or any other project 343 puts out. I have no problems with simply pretending Halo ended with Reach.

My honest opinion would be that if you don’t work for your own money (most of this forum) you shouldn’t be allowed to have an opinion on the matter. I know that’s harsh but it’s how I see it.

I will simply say that I did NOT go to work so I could pay Microsoft money for a product that was free anyway.

If your talking about map pass compensation then forget it. I can see how people who actually paid for the map during the time it was free would want something back.

Its hard to swallow but simply put it was Microsoft’s fault for the distribution of the map pack and accidentally let that one error to slip through. if you had the map pass then you would of already have gotten it for free and you still have like what 2-3? of free map packs in the future where people will still have top buy them. 343i has already lost over ~300,000$ worth from people exploiting and Microsoft has to pay them for the dmg done. If anything be happy that the maps are out the amount of players is nice, and no major flaws/glitches have followed them. And dont forget that now that its fixed everyone after the people who have it have to pay the 800/10$ to get it.

YOU may want compensation but so does everyone else that’s taking away from what 343i needs to make another great map pack. so simply put suck up the 10$ loss and enjoy what you have. play and forget.

I think your just going to have to face the fact you probably wont be compensated. At least you will still benefit from getting the other map packs and spartan ops free - your talking as if that extra $40 only pays for that single map pack.
I own the LE too - I got what they offered, others got lucky, no biggie.
