So since the games release I refused to purchase anything after buying the full game at full price. I still stand by that.
But recently we have been given a few really decent set of free cosmetics with more on the way. And I do appreciate this.

He probably means the recent “events” and upcoming “event” that are just items 343 held back from Season 1 for emergency backup content, instead of putting 117 items in the Battle Passes
The winter update and the Christmas event, joint fire event, and another event starting next week.
I think they’ve been generous to us recently.

feels like most of it’s just from reach, i liked reach but i just hate infinite and honestly if i want all of reach armor i can just play mcc.

Well, there’s a cool Black History Month logo. I really like this one, it’s very stylish.
They’re using cut content from Season 1 so I suspect it is all from Reach.
I count every piece of Reach armour, which is most of what they are giving us, as a “screw you” to the people who bought the passes. I wanted the “Memories of Reach”, instead I got Challenge Swaps. They don’t even have all the attachments in game. I paid for a compete package, that they carved out to give away for free. Why was I encouraged to buy the pass? To screw me.
They’ve just drip fed us the same few visor coatings and recycled Reach cosmetics over the course of a year. If you’re happy with that then power to you. I won’t knock you for it.
But the free content we’ve had is a pathetic excuse for a live service. Vanguard got more than Halo and that got dropped for support almost straight away.
