I didn't get the mcc insider name tag

I did not get the mcc name tag, which you get when you download the halo mcc insider. i got an invitation for the microsoft store edition but i play halo mcc on steam and i played both games with the same xbox live account

That’s not how you get the MCC Insider nameplates; they’re given out for specific events that 343 run.
The last event that made these nameplates attainable was on Xbox back in October. So far there hasn’t been any way to earn them on PC.
