That would be a big risk. What’s possible is if they made a spin off or free to play game with those mechanics and then go from there.
The funny thing about capitalism is that the “best” products don’t always succeed. As much as you and I would love a return to classic Halo, gamers have come to expect the bells and whistles characteristic of modern games. Halo 5 is closer to classic Halo than 4 was, and it’s probably as close as we’re going to get for a while.

I’m not for or against sprint, but I don’t know where people get the idea that a game needs sprint to succeed

There is no better side tbh. If sprint is balanced and works for the halo they are trying to build than it will come to preference. Halo 4 sprint was not balanced and a lot of the game was questionable. Halo 5 addresses a lot of tha while staying on the track they want
To me it doesn’t matter if there is sprint or not, I’ll play it regardless, I love Halo to much to let something like sprint ruin it for me.

I don’t necessarily want it, i just want to compare how a new halo with no sprint would compare against sprint. maybe to try and and stop all the hate towards the game and end the arguments

I feel the same way about sprint. I just want it to happen to make a point to the community so that we can decide which one works better in the new market.

I’ll enjoy Halo 5 and Halo 6 with sprint or not. A lot of people seem convinced a new halo without sprint would do immensely better

Why does the Halo game without sprint have to be new to compare it to Halo 5? Why couldn’t the Master Chief Collection offer what you want?
The arguments will likely never stop. If the Halo game with sprint proved to be more popular, we would just see comments like “My faith in competent game design has died.” or “These people aren’t true Halo fans.” If the ‘traditional’ Halo game proved to be more popular, we would probably see comments like “This community is just a bunch of nostalgic man-children who can’t keep up with the times.”
In either situation, there will always be the argument that just because something is popular doesn’t mean that its the best.

Yeah, i guess. the only reason that i wouldn’t compare MCC to it is that it is already comprised of games that are nostalgic to people and that right now people hate it for other reasons.
Halo 3 was the worse halo for me but now that I played CE multiplayer I know Hola 3 was not the worse. my problem with halo 3 back in the day was just how slow it felt to me. Like the game could not keep up with what I wanted it to do. If they were going to do something like that for halo 6 I like them to go off halo 2 and not 3.
