Whenever I turn on my game it says Im level 1 and it endlessly says “retrieving data” on all of the menu options. Can someone help me figure out whats going on? The REQ menu says “req service unavailable” and my character wont load either. I reset my console multiple times but it doesnt work, I thought it was a server update getting worked on but I have 3 friends online playing so it must be on my end but I have no idea whats happening. My xbox live is working
This is most likely due to your internet connection, the only thing i could suggest is to find a way to improve it (eg. If you’re using wireless, try a wired connection …etc)
Whenever this happens to me I reboot my modem shut off my Xbox and unplug it from the wall for a few seconds and she works every time for me.

My connection works perfectly on all other devices in my house and other games work great. Ill try resetting the modem though, thanks, its been a while since Ive done that, hope it works
hard reset your xbox, you will be good to go.
I’m guessing you restarted your console, try rebooting your internet connection. could be your connection is not getting the response from 343 servers so it doesn’t show your rank correctly

Edit: I figured out how to hard reset, Ill also reset my modem and see if it all works out, I appreciate the help guys.

Go to the main menu, not on H5, but the main xbox live menu. Once there press the power button on the box for about 7 seconds, it will shut down. Go ahead and restart it.

Alright I reset the xbox and router and it appears to be working. Yall were a big help, Im still finding my way around my xbox one because I only just bought it a few months ago so this is great to know 
Same thing happens to me, but only for the first 5 seconds of entering the game. Can’t help you
try signing in to your account before loading halo, find that helps me
Yea the same thing happened to me, I just turned my Xbox off and got back on the next day and it was fixed
