Gaming has just become a bunch of handholding.
more like being on a chain and yanking that chain all the time LOL
Punishments for leaving a match is in competitive modes makes sense. Leaving a match during a more casual made mode should only nullify your progress during that match. A temporary ban should not happen for leaving a casual game mode.
Sarcasm.
I know quitters exist.
And they should be rightfully banned for just leaving because “muh win/loss ratio”
Yes they should be banned cause of a buggy game wants to cause grief and stress…what logic.
The logic is that the bugs aren’t actually that often.
And desync is an issue that can be minimized by restarting your game every hour or so.
But I keep on seeing people leave a match as soon as they die or even when the enemy team has a 10 kill advantage. Which is funny, considering that after they leave we tend to clutch the match.
So you admit then quitting doesn’t even negatively impact you, which was the entire premise of your original argument.
the most bull I’ve ever heard when it comes to this game. There’s desyncing across the board. Bad hit registration for melee, HORRIBLE collison bugs that are consistent and have been since launch.
I said we tend to.
As in a slight majority.
Maybe every 6/10 are victories. But a lot of them are still losses.
Yes.
And I said “desync is an issue that can be minimized by restarting your game every hour or so.”
I’ve tested this out and found that I don’t desync as often if I restart my game every hour or more. There is something about being on the servers for an hour straight that goofs with server sync in matches.
Plus it seems that they have fixed it up a tad since this game launched.
I might have to dig for it, but I have a clip of where THREE guys on the enemy team were nearly untouchable because they would suddenly teleport whenever you shot at them, as the system finally synced up with their input and put them where they actually were on the field and not where their lag-ghost managed to wander towards.
I now rarely encounter this issue unless I am playing with my Australian friends.
I’ll leave when my bullets stop registering why play if my action don’t have an effect
I wish it did. SBMM is just not working (properly). Matches are almost always one-sided with huge differences in skill between players. That is also a reason why people quit, since no one likes to play a match where they are always outskilled.
The multiplayer is free to play, so you didn’t pay $60 for that.
So you are telling me I paid $60 for a campaign and that is all 343 game me? No, of course I consider multiplayer part of that purchase.
Yes i am. The MP is completely free to play. You can get the MP without the campaign (in fact: the MP was out earlier then the campaign). So yes, you did pay $60 for only the campaign (and the unlockables within it)
Then I need to shift this entire argument to how 343 could have the audacity to charge $60 for that campaign. Either way it looks awful for them.
Here are my suggestions to help improve games if someone leaves.
-Bot Kills/deaths don’t count towards the match totals
-Timer is frozen until a full complement of players is back in the match
Multiplayer is Free to play.
Not our fault you bought the physical copy of the game.
Digital*
And charging $60 for that campaign is laughable.
To be fair, the price was set long before the launch of the game.
And they had plans to make it a longer part of the game.
Part 1 got stunted a bit during development, hence why 1/4 of the map seen is unexplorable because the developers were unable to actually implement the rest of the planned content for part 1.
Such as FOB India and Mike, or the other collectibles that were planned to be on those islands.
It is why the repulsor was scrapped from the campaign, because they didn’t have the planned Spartan body to retrieve it from and the Spartan Cores scattered abou to retrieve them.
Perhaps an update will be made that will extend Part 1 slightly to tease at Part 2 and we will finally be able to explore the North-East Islands?
Oh sounds like Destiny with it’s incomplete ending, thank god I didn’t pay $60 for such a mediocre experience.
How the hell do you waste Peter Dinklage like that?
