The urge to leave matches in this game have been like no other to me in the history of my years playing Halo. When someone quits? I don’t care. And I get why they did it. They are doing what I wish I could do but won’t cause or ranked.
I don’t quit my games but I definitely have a lot of leavers in the games I play
Serrrrrvvverrrrrr Lisssstttttttt
I’m just curious, how could a Server List work for Halo’s matchmaking?
I am at a point where I am going to leave every stockpile match. It is a hassle to get a btb match in the first place, and stockpile is the most unfun mode of them all. It discourages pvp interaction and if a team wants to get the game over with, the game can end in a few minutes tops. All you do is grab a power seed and then avoid players at all costs. You can carry 7 in a razorback IIRC which is 1 and a half scores for your team. Its different from CTF because in CTF it is a single object you have to carry and bring back. In stockpile there are dozen, so no matter how hard you try to genocide the area where the seeds are, someone is gonna get out with one and when you respawn they are too far away for you to even have a chance at stopping him. Think about in CTF when a team comes in a warthog, they get in get out, there is practically nothing you can do unless someone on your team happens to be camping the enemy base or has a fast vehicle to catch up to them. Stockpile is like that but worse.
Disagree. Stockpile is 10x as fun than CTF or God forbid total control. 99% of ctf and total control games end due to time running out with a 0-0 score in my experience. Not very fun at all.
Thats completely backwards in my opinion. The reason total control and CTF end with no score is because both teams are putting in their best effort to prevent the enemy from winning. That is how this game should go, matches shouldnt be one sided at all, ever. The games that end with no score are the best ones aside from games that end in a 1 to 0 score or a 0 to 1, because that shows that the two teams put their best effort and all that was possible was one point. I dont think i would play btb if every game was one sided. If the enemy team scores, then that means you have no chance at turning the tide and vice versa. If two navy strike groups engage eachother, assuming no use of hypersonic weapons or nukes, almost anyone you ask would say the battle would end with the two fleets running out of missiles and have to retreat. The fighter jets and escort ships would never let the carrier be hit, and if it is would be the fault of their defensive system. At any rate, a single hit on the enemy carrier would be considered a victory. Now think about this in a stockpile sense, the fighter jets would just go to a specific area for a few seconds and then engage afterburner and then the enemy carrier blows to pieces.
BTB leaves are usually due to the connection problems.
4v4 leaves are usually due to those dumb specific challenges.
But honestly, in the end people really really just wanna play Slayer, and Heavies for BTB. At the moment without these 2 modes, along with Desync ruining games and BTB being constantly broke, Infinite’s just not a very fun game compared to something like Halo Reach or H3.
Clearly you didn’t play Halo 1 and 2 on PC? A dedicated server list was wonderful and nobody had any problems except when Gamespy stopped support of course. Actually, Custom Edition still nets in a couple thousand players a day. How does it work? You’re right, currently it might not. But guess what… their little shop is not my problem and if and how they would implement that is also not my problem… I only care about options and the game playing well. A dedicated server list would prevent quitters really mattering, more options for location, less stress on 343 since CLEARLY they need it, and above all… I could purchase my own dedi and run it how I like. BTB with a REAL map cycle.
Nope, I play on console.
You missed out on dedicated server support my friend. I used to pay for and run probably the most popular “regular settings” BTB server on Halo PC between 2007-09. Mainly CTF but that’s because Slayer spawns in Halo 1 were way too bad for 8v8 to be consistent. So it was mainly CTF on BG, Sidewinder, Ice Fields, Death Island, Timberland, Etc… Should out to Gearbox for Ice Fields and Death Island!
Shout* Refuse to fix this when I cannot EDIT!
Honestly, I just got back from a vacation, and when I booted up Halo the Pings have been inconsistent and unstable packet lost has shown up way more than usual. Ots like the Desync is getting worse each week.
I try to stay but when I’m shooting and go for a Melee and the dude just tanks it and kills meor I’m getting killed around corners I get frustrated
I even downloaded warzone… I figured if aima have some connection issues may as well be with COD… At least there I can maybe get a decent round.
But in all seriousness I honestly think Halo Infinites code or network is unstable… Like 343 is just barely holding it together back there.
The 1 yr delay was because we didn’t like the graphics and texture Quality…
So it kinda makes me wonder exactly how bad the game build was when Jason Statem joined.
Also F2P is the easiest Cop out for a crappy game, because in reality it’s free so no matter how broken it is they can always hit us with oh well it’s F2P so it’s not like your losing money
When I played infinite I left matches because I was getting put into high ping servers and when the maps were Behemoth and Live Fire. 2 awful maps that need to he removed especially Behemoth that map has no cover and you’re getting spawn killed or shot and killed from behind in the back of your spawn.
I have been gettn matches where we all spawn. In front of each other or around the corner from one another
I’d rather understand that my enjoyment of the game isn’t the only thing that matters, and other peoples enjoyment is just as important as mine is. I also understand that team oriented game modes only truly work well if everyone is contributing to the game. They don’t have to be the best, they just have to put some level of effort into playing it with the rest of their team.
If I don’t want to care about anyone but myself in a match, then I understand that free for all is the only type of game I should be playing. One where if I want to goof off, leave early or whatever, I won’t effect any one else fun in the process. Being selfish benefits absolutely no one.
Wait… people are quitting games? Why?
If I want to quit out of a game I am not enjoying that is my dang right. I spent $60 on the game to have fun playing it.
If only we had a way to block people like you from being apart of our team then. I don’t want unrealible teammates on my team.
So… screw your teammates right?
