It was more of a chore than fun. Also, it was very saddening to know my friendly NPC marines won’t make it 20 feet without being blown into Grunt mulch despite arming them with fuel rod cannons and rocket launchers.
Did you assassinate the Field Marshall at the end?
Because after the many times that cheating AI somehow managed to Fuel Rod me in that one section, I go soooo much satisfaction over sticking a knife in his head.
Also, were you also disappointed by the MAC Cannon sequence at the end, where basically you have to -Yoink- out for the three or so minutes until Keyes tells you you can shoot?
This was so 2010 LOL
Congrats though. It taught me the value of the DMR and Needle Rifle for ammo conservation during Legendary. Other Halo’s i just tore through with the AR like a mook.
Plasma Rifle FTW.
When I did it, I used Marines as decoys.

Nope!
And yes, the MAC cannon was TERRIBLY anti-climatic.
> Plasma Rifle FTW.
Although that is not a question, I don’t think I used that weapon at all.

Thanks, but this isn’t a question. I know it’s ‘so 2010’ but this was acutally the first time since the launch I even touched single player. Before I just played strictly match making and dabbled in online co-op on Heroic. And yeah, those rifles were mandatory every level, every time, 60% of the time. (that doesn’t make sense)

I’m sorry, but this isn’t a question, and I tried my damn best to keep my Marines alive!
Why are you telling us? This game’s Legendary was too easy not to complete solo.

I’m telling everyone because It was a challenge for me. Which game has the hardest? I only played Reach and Halo CE lengendary solo…

People usually say it is a tie between CE and H2.
Just a quick question, I think I have everything thing down but on nightfall when I’m sprinting into the room where you snipe the grunt with the plasma cannon, the rangers follow me and give me a lesson in getting my butt kicked 101, I can do it on heroic but legendary just kills me, any advice? And on the PoA how should I try to get past the landing pad part with all the brutes?
The best way to get through Reach on Legendary solo, is to treat every level like a speed run. Skip as much of the fighting as you possibly can. You can simply run past most sections of each level until you come to a checkpoint.
Oh and Queenly, the entire Nightfall mission can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Just look up a speed run on youtube.
Why’d it take you so long?

Halo 2 had the most difficult gameplay on Legendary. If you want a real challenge though, try playing Reach on Mythic.

You gotta be kidding me. CE on legendary is NOT HARD. I breeze through it, knowing how to tackle each fight I mess with it, make it harder than it needs to be so that it’s an actual challenge. I’d say Reach isn’t that hard on legendary, notable moments would be, nevermind. Reach requires more patience and ammo conservation than previous games. Halo 2 shields are particularily weak, it is the most irritating on legendary in halo 2.

Eww why do you bother playing if you just skip everything? On legendary I go the same route as if I were playing on heroic and kill everything.
H2 was terribly hard. H3 was annoying. Reach was tough until I realized the AI always fell for the hologram.
