I cant wait to see the answer to this question.

because it doesnt. Armor lock has always been a joke, people that use it lose the power of maneuvering, you can barely maintain powerweapons, and unless you have heavy team support youre bound to die in a dmr battle. I almost never use it, I only used it to get the achievement for it, also: It can slow a spawn kill with its antivechicle capabilities, but it does hardly anything else but annoy prospecting 5 shotters.

Also for me it feels so much better to kill enemies (especially ALs) without exploiting the AA.
Although the enemy decreased the skill gap i was still better than him.

but, a part of being a good player is to abuse anything that can be abused to gain an advantage, if armour lock is so easily abused then why aren’t you abusing it?

it may feall better to kill without using it but you can’t kill when using armour lock because armour lock makes you immobile.

i think i already stated often enough that for me AL is completely missplaced
in a shooter so in my point of view using it normally already is exploiting it.

how can an opinion about something be faulty?
i know you use AL and you like it and you dont see a problem with it.
that is alright but why am i wrong just because i differ from your opinion?

but using the armour ability normally (pressing the button) isn’t exploiting it.

i never said i use armour lock, i despise that armour ability myself and think that it’s bad for gameplay but the main point most people make that “it helps bad players kill good players” is totally -Yoink-.

i did write that this is MY opinion. i see it like this: using armor lock is exploiting this AA.
now you just come along and write “no that isnt exploiting it”
youre pretty good at just ignoring the parts i already highlighted.

i gave you examples and tried to explain why AL is decreasing the skill gap.
if you can not understand them or if you do not want to understand my points i can not do much about it.

ok then.
by this logic, anyone who use an armour ability normally is exploiting it.

so a player failing to adapt to new situations is reducing the skill gap?
more like showing how much players rely on one style of play.

i felt guilty since i was annoying haunted to answer my questions so i made another statement.
but as i read his last post i see he simply does not want to understand what i write.
im done now mister plunderfull.

> > My contention is and always has been that it can be exploited, yet has had the noob finger pointed at it,not so for other game exploits.Your first post had 2 major points,1 it delays the game,2 it can only be mindlessly applied to wich I responded does sprint delay the game and are you saying there is no way to skillfully use AL.After that you began a non sequiter fest of post about equipment pickups and simplistic uses for AL,I sir have stuck to your original argument while you have started injecting information not pertinent to the argument.(are you related to my wife?thats a joke.you will get that in a decade or so.)

That is the entire argumentsimpifiedto show your side of the argument,it cuts out relevant statements that you made that validate what I have said, all AA delay the game and help each player kill and gain advantage over his opponent, not just AL.Each AA can be used with a high degree of skill, not just sprint. To kill your opponent and not be killed is the point of this game and almost all FPS,manipulation of the parameters of the game is a certinty by good players who wish to have advantage over their opponent, the strange phenomenon is the hate for a game parameter that has been in play for a year now and continues to be beat into everbodies head by a vocal minority.

People know a lot of tactics that are too powerful, unfair, etc. But some people simply believe (myself included) that implementing those tactics into their play style is simply wrong. It’s the “do unto others as you would have them do” mentality. If you HATE armor lock with the burning rage of a thousand suns, why in the world would you use it? You’re against everything it stands for, you’re not going to sell yourself out by supporting its usage.

i’m not a nut though, i’m a stubborn -Yoink-.

i have yet to see an actual strong argument that explains how armour lock reduces the skill gap.

at the moment every arguemnt has been down how the player chooses to react to the person using armour lock.
