from the brief portions I have caught so far… This might be epic! October 30th can’t get hear (pun intended) soon enough.
Fair warning, they are releasing the soundtrack like 3 days after the game, what that indicates to me is that track titles may have some heavy spoilers in them, so might want to avoid until campaign completion!
But like you I can’t wait either!
yeah i agree, it does sound pretty epic & i too cannot wait for the release, but going on what bfett9 is saying i think i might wait till i have completed the campaign before i buy it.
Likewise, very excited. I thought Jinnouchi did a very credible job with H4 despite having some pretty big shoes to fill, and what I heard in the recent trailer was even better.
I love visiting the audio team’s sound lab. It’s this incredible space where you get to sit down, close your eyes, and fully immerse yourself in the world of Halo. Getting to listen to a song before you know the plot that unravels at that point in time allows you to feel the music in such a magical and special way. The conveying of emotion, the shifting of mood, the way it feels when it affects your very being… so hard to explain but one of my most favorite things to do at the studio.

You get to listen to all the music in progress that is awesome on top of that you get to listen to hit in the highest channel format that will probably never be released to the public so even better for you. (ie most of us will get a 5.1 CD they probably have the raw files in 7.2 and such)
To be clear we are very jealous but you get to work there so perks of employment!
Changed your mind bfett?
Those of you jumping to buy the Halo 5 OST, might want to read this before you go tossing you money away

I eventually did get Vol 2. but true to my word didn’t pay a cent, but still got it legally through my local library Freegal MP3 source.
I’ll be waiting until 343 uploads this as well there, I learnt my lesson not paying for this, but not going to steal it either.
So heads up to those of you see if your local library has a Freegal supported you should be able to get some Halo OSTs for free LEGALLY, but for those of you who look to buy the OST day 1, hopefully you don’t get screwed by a big price discount and the inclusion of another “Volume 2” after a few months.
It give me goosebumps the music at the end of Halo 4, well edited
Heh.
To be fair I was really pissed off at the time because I felt cheated, and I actually never did buy Vol. 2 just enjoyed it on Spotify, so far. And its a funny thing you mention Freegal, I just started using it this past summer and its been really great, so far I have been nabbing all of the Star Wars Soundtracks slowly (my library only gets me 5 credits/tracks a week, im not sure about yours) I guess I will add Halo 4 Vol 2. to the list be good to have it for offline use as well. I actually even made a video for my Community channel for the Know, about some other great free library sources

There are actually a ton of great library resources many public libraries support for free to use for us patrons, you should see if any of your library’s support these or others. Heck I get a ton of Halo eBooks and Audiobooks free through these as well, they check out to Kindle/iPad/PC and your phone, go thats great too.
But back on topic I probably won’t be being a CD right away, if ever, for the reason Lokie pointed out dont wanna get burned by buying it and having a second volume come out after the fact, but regardless if I get CD or not will definitely check it out on Spotify and grab it if it ever shows on Freegal!

You know what would be awesome?
If you released a few sample tracks so that people like me, who feed off of immersion, can listen to it to and fro the midnight release. Just bring up the topic with the gang is all I’m asking.

Oh interesting didn’t know about some of those. But atleast your sticking to your guns, not that I think it will change anything Im still guessing there will be a volume 2 this time.

I know 100% what you mean as my best friends cousin is a music producer. His studio is worth more then my farm sometimes I think lol

I don’t care a whole ton if I get burned for pre ordering the tracks. I’m gonna love these too death when I get em on October 30th. So excited. I listen to the OST samples online like every day to get myself hyped.

You guys work some magic over there… Halo 4’s soundtrack… Specifically track “117”… Is simply the best video game related song, in history. The final 2 minutes of it would rival anything made by zimmer.
Keep up the wonderful work!

I will have a difficult time avoiding iTunes when it releases… However, I want to be fully surprised by the campaign while playing it and not beforehand. Could you elaborate on the spoilers in the soundtrack?
thank you… And the MC Sierra 117 is almost here!!! Can’t wait to jump into the fight with you my fellow Spartans

Great point. 4 is my favorite out of every soundtrack but why they didn’t include the original (and Classic) theme was a head scratcher.
Cool, the
SOUNDTRACK of Halo was amazing from day One…can’t wait for the Halo 5 version!!!
