I am being placed in completely one-sided matches. They aren’t even close. I cannot stop losing. Why are these matches so unbalanced?
50 > 24 Loss
50 > 35 Loss
50 > 27 Loss
50 > 19 Loss (DNF)
Even if I am the top contributor on my team, we still get annihilated.

And when you lose 50-19, rage quit because you’re 2-11 and in last place on your team, your team still gets annihilated.
It happens in halo no doubt always try for new lobby it can help
Create a fireteam, I hate playing with randoms.
That happens in lots of games it seems like, it’s not something that can really be avoided. It helps if you’re playing with friends

Yes I did quit that game. I don’t often quit, but yes, there is the odd time where I do. Put me in jail or something.

I feel your pain. The ranking system in this game is shocking. If you go up against a group of 4 players you should play at the second best players level. Im in Platinum at the moment for one of the game types and im going up against onyx players. I’m onyx in another game type and im going up against golds. It’s ridiculous…as is spawning with out a BR but thats another story

this is a big issue for me and its not because of bad matchmaking but because you are coming up against coordinated teams. You cant do anything about it. I am going to make a post about that soon as well so keep an eye out for that if you want a solution.

Yes, it did. It even occurred at 50. I’d run a game at 50 and still get terrible teammates. Ranking systems are built around team play, they have to be. If they catered the system to solo players, then those who play as a team would reach the skill ceiling quickly (something that occurred often in Halo 3).
It’s unfortunate that you’re running into problems with ranking. Are you searching solo? You may be matching against teams of three, which could lead to lost matches. Have you tried inviting the better players in your losing games? You can gather a “squad” of random players and fare better than simply backing out for the next match.
I have to be honest, I haven’t run into this problem when running with a team of three. Most of my matches are very intense and evenly matched.
There was a Warzone I played where they stole all the bosses and we lost 241 to 1000.

Only way to combat that is making a team and knowing the player are of good quality; Spartan companies?

Holy cow man…some of you guys blow my mind on here. Not saying it NEVER happened. DUH. I’m saying 1-50 didn’t consistently throw you into 5-10 consecutive games where you had trash teammates.

the 1-50 would be the same thing as whats going on now. They arent being strict enough with the matchmaking, and its probably because people would -Yoink- about wait times. right now youre put in a lobby and the game starts…its FAST, but its also putting you in some games you shouldnt be in. All they would have to do is make the matchmaking stricter and this would go away. I’m sure theyll fix this and then people will really say “OMG WTF is going on…why am i waiting 30 seconds to play slayer now…WHYYYYY I hate this game it sucks…343 I’m going to play Fallout now I want my money back”…wait…its coming…oooooh its coming
I do sometimes play with a few regulars. One of them is of a similar skill level, the other two are… not so good. When I play with them we usually go 50/50. This problem of getting completely dominated is rather new to me. My matches during the immediate and 2 weeks after release were almost always much closer. I won more than I lost, but not anymore.

In my mind losing 25-50 isn’t a bad game. It just means that overall the opposing team was more unified. Especially if I’m playing alone.

Even if players aren’t the best they typically do much better when gaming alongside friends whether met online or from your daily life. When they are calling out targets or throwing out warnings the results will show it.

Sounds like they had a strategy. There is no stealing in Multiplayer FPS with the exception of shooting an enemy while he’s being assassinated. Doesn’t feel good I admit but all is fair in love and war.
I have noticed that landslides are fairly common in this game. More so than they should be. Fair, balanced matches are a rarity.
I think the fact that parties can match solo players is a big cause of this. This should not be possible. Parties should only play parties, solos should only play solos. As long as Parties of 3-4 can match a team of 4 randoms, the ranking system will be completely irrelevant and meaningless in team-based playlists (everything but FFA).
In FFA, the ranking actually works pretty darn well. Not so for team playlists.
As some of the people above stated. It is about team play. I have issues with lag and when that happens my team loses because I am unable to contribute at all. I am just a waste of many lives, But When i have a great connection I do awesome but only with a team. i found when I play solo not to many ppl talk and or make call outs. It is soo important to the game. having communication helps and sometimes u have to be the one talking all the time. ppl wont talk unless they know ppl have mic as well also some ppl are just -Yoinks!- and annoying. If you go into games solo. talk it up be friendly and then grab players from different games even if you lose. grab a team mate or two who play in a style that has good chemistry with you.
