Howdy,
This is just another one of those rants expressing opinions about Halo.
I was so excited to see Master Chief back on the scene with Halo. I decided to pre-order Limited Edition mostly due to hype. I was even going to get the console, but I waited to see if I liked the game or not.
I played Legendary campaign (solo) for the first few days, enjoying the story, but I dislike the majority of it. The story felt different, there was no ‘magic’.
A missing ingredient almost. I wanted to know what was happening in the Halo Universe, not how much ‘Cortana’ and ‘Chief’ love each other, that should be left in the background. It focused far too much on them.
The new enemies ‘Prometheans’ felt unnatural to me. Something just made them seem out of place. Although, they were a nice addition to begin with, it just didn’t seem they belonged in Halo.
Then multi-player, the mode I enjoy most in Halo. Sheer disappointment. There’s no competitive feel, more of a casual experience, boring in other words. The game’s population will suffer as a result.
Everyone can have DMRs, BRs, that are normally placed throughout the map and require a level of ‘skill’ to control. Gone. It’s a complete and utter mess in other words.
I have wasted my money on a game that I try to like, but I just cannot.
I feel 343 Industries have a lot to learn before their next published game.
