As the subject says, I can’t post anything to my fileshare because, and I quote, “The name of the creator of this file is not allowed on Xbox Live.” Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix this, because I’m losing the 5 Gamerscore from the achievement(not that important, I know) and the opportunity to show off on Waypoint.
Are you using the LIVE trial? Because I am and it’s prohibiting me from uploading ANYTHING to the fileshare, ergo I am not getting the achievement until I buy a 1 month.
No, I’m on the monthly Gold subscription and it won’t let me do anything. Reach also wouldn’t let me post to my fileshare.
Wonder if you were permanently banned a long time ago for something obscene you put on your Fileshare…
Would I have received a message or something? I don’t recall putting anything obscene on my fileshare (of course, that’s only my opinion).
I believe that means your name is filtered by the game.
If someone were to name a file your name it shouldn’t work either. I’ll try it out in just a sec. Edit: Yeah it’s your name. Just tried to upload a file named after you and it was blocked. You’d have to get a name change, or maybe 343 can help you with it.

I can’t.browse any files on the file share. Nothing. No top downloads or recommended at all. It is very annoying! I love downloading maps with ships and other kool stuff like that. Reach I never had this issue… Any know anything that could help?

Using patience and waiting for 343i to do something would probably be a useful skill in this situation. The game just came out 2 weeks ago, they have a TON of issues, and they probably have everything prioritized and are just working at their own pace.

That’s very odd. I have never seen a message like that, although the only thing i can come up with is that you played with someone who has no XBL account and he/she appears on the file.
